Homeward Bound - Buenos Aires to Savona - 2011

My cruise aboard Costa Victoria started with a night in Buenos Aires pre-cruise to get over the jet lag, I flew down with Air France and had a very good experience.

Boarding the ship was very easy and quick...having priority embarkation helps.

Victoria is as close to an ocean liner as you can probably get in a cruise ship, built in Germany she is very nicely laid out and without the usual revenue areas associated with most mainstream ships. Her decor is subdued since she was built before Farcus.

Service, food etc was exceptional as always, the ship clean and tidy and the crew just superb...no complaints whatsoever.

The weather was pretty good most of the way...we did have to make an unscheduled stop for a medevac at Cape Verde.

The ports.....Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador, Maceio, Recife, Fortaleza, Cape Verde, Tenerife, Funchal, Cadiz, Malaga & Savona.

I would certainly recommend Victoria, which has now taken her place in Asia...to be joined shortly by Costa Atlantica.

She is very easy to get around, has some truly incredible public areas that blow you away....she truly is a beautiful ship and the itinerary done on this cruise was perfect.
