For those who enjoy a cocktail or two during a Norwegian Cruise Line voyage, the prices for the drinks will increase as the company is raising the cost of its Ultimate Beverage Package.
According to Gene Sloan of the USA Today, Norwegian Cruise Line has raised prices for the Ultimate Beverage Package by almost 15 percent, jumping from $69 per person, per day to $79 per person, per day.
Add in a mandatory service charge of 18 percent, and the total cost for two passengers to enjoy the Ultimate Beverage Package over the course of a seven-night sailing will now total more than $1,300.
The price hikes dont stop there, though, as Norwegian Cruise Line has also increased the Corks and Caps drinks package cost by almost 10 percent and raised prices for the Specialty Dining Packages by $10 per person, per day.
Travel agents were informed Monday of the changes, which took effect on nine of the Norwegian Cruise Lines vessels already. The new pricing will also be adopted by three additional ships over the coming week, including the Norwegian Gem, Norwegian Pearl and Norwegian Epic.
