I booked this cruise 2 days prior to sailing. Carnival send me an e-mail with deals from Florida sailings. I called and booked right away. Since I'm on summer vacation , my schedule is flexible. My brother and nephew couldn't make it because his baseball coach called that they would be receiving their trophies for winning the championships this weekend.
EMBARKATION
My mother worked until 12:00p.m. We arrived at port at 12:45. Embarkation was a breeze. The lines were super long, but it took 20 minutes from the time we arrived to entering the ship.
SHIP
I have sailed on the Imagination which is Fascination's sister ship. I thought that the layout would be the same. It was completely different. It took me a while to find my way around. This ship is absolutely beautiful just like the Imagination. We went to check out the cabin and then to the Lido deck for the Cruisecrazies meet and greet. We couldn't find Cheryl and Wayne so we had lunch at the buffet. On our way out, we met Cheryl, Wayne, and their lovely daughter, Lacey. They are so friendly and wonderful people. We talked to them for a while and took pictures which I've included in my album. It was a pleasure meeting them.
ENTERTAINMENT
The shows and activities scheduled were excellent; so much so that I never made it to the dining room because there was so much going on during my dinner time. This is the only ship that schedules activities on days at port. They had activies scheduled starting at 1:00 p.m.
SERVICE
The service was excellent. All of the employees on the ship were polite and attentive.
FOOD
The food was excellent and there was a lot of variety to choose from. I went off my diet and ate lots of pizza and chocolate. I ate in the buffet area. I never made it to the dining room.
BAHAMAS
I booked a sightseeing and Pirates of Nassau Museum tour since I've been to the Atlantis resort a number of times. You must attend this museum. It is amazing. It reminds me of the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disney.(If you do not want to do the sightseeing tour, you can always walk to the Museum which is 2 block from the ship on your own.)
DEBARKATION
Debarkation was a breeze. I was off the ship at 7:45 and home at 8:15.
Those of you sailing from Miami or Fort Lauderdale: Please let us know when you're saling so that those of us from Miami can meet you prior to or after sailing. It was great meeting the CruiseCrazies in person after corresponding with them for so long on the board.
