Carnival isn't really our first choice for ships. But we couldn't pass up the itineraries and cost. The ship seemed more polished the first 8 days. Little things were broken and unattended to for the entire 2nd cruise (coffee machines, ice machines).
The activities, jokes, meals, and most of the entertainment were all the same first week to second. (We have done other Eastern/Western Caribbean cruises where at least the menus were different.)
The overall cleanliness of the ship was very good. The food, however, was mediocre.
If you can think of the Carnival Miracle as your transportation to some great ports and can get a really good booking (we paid $750/pp per week for BALCONY, top floor for rooms), go for it!
