Arrived Anchorage about midnight and went straight to the hotel to crash. Next morning took Alaska Railroad (independently) to Whittier. It was a wonderful trip, half the price of the Princess tour and they delivered you luggage directly to the ship. Embarkation went quickly and we were in our cabin by 1PM. The Coral Princess is a wonderful ship you never feel crowded on her even when viewing the Glaciers.
The only thing in my opinion that was lacking was a lounge on the upper decks that you could view the sea while having a cocktail or just relaxing when underway, although you could hang out in the Horizon Court, but each table had a sign that asked you to not do this if you were not dining. We chose to use Princess Personal Choice Dining because we love the flexibility of dining when we wanted to.
We never had to wait although on "Lobster Night" we were given a table in the Provence restaurant instead of the Bordeaux, it just happened to be time for the late seating. All of the ports were wonderful and the naturalist on-board was excellent. I would highly recommend the Coral Princess for an Alaskan Cruise.
