Freedom of the Seas the return

We have had the pleasure to sail this ship 4 times and this was my favorite, might have been because it was my Birthday. LOL

I can't comment on the itinerary as we didn't get off in any of the ports, the ship was our destination. We spent much of the day resting and relaxing as well as reading and napping.

Freedom was in excellent condition as a whole. There is some work going on but it didn't interfere with our enjoyment. We watched them crane on new satellites to improve navigation and internet. Should double the speed of the internet according to the Hotel Director. They also were installing Coke machines, the soda cups will come with a chip that the machine will read and serve the drinks. Pretty interesting, hope it works.

The Freedom recently changed the menus. Some old favorites are gone, some new ones added. All in all a vast improvement for RCI. Look for the menus to continue to spread throughout the fleet. The Veal Steak was a highlight for Howie. The pastas have improved as well. They still need work in the buffet but we managed to find something daily.

The crew is wonderful which is one of the things that has kept me on RCI over the years. We have caught up with a few crew friends we haven't seen for years and it was wonderful.
