Oceania Cruises,’ new Riviera, due out in May, will feature “museum-worthy” works from Latin American artists. The collection of more than 1,000 works is a nod to the Cuban heritage of Frank Del Rio, the line’s founder and chairman, and CEO of parent company Prestige Cruise Holdings.
Among the highlights are works by artists from Cuba’s Vanguard Movement, from 1927 to 1950, including Wifredo Lam, Cundo Bermudez, René Portocarrero and Servando Cabrera. Several commissioned works by José Grillo, Carlos Luna and Humberto Benitez also will be displayed.
