Princess Cruises' next ship will have private deck-top cabanas available for an extra charge -- a first for the line.
Princess says the soon-to-debut Royal Princess will have four "Sanctuary Cabanas" in its adults-only Sanctuary that will feature sofas and a personal television with noise-reducing wireless headphones as well as robes and slippers, a welcome cocktail and snacks.
Two more "Lotus Spa Cabanas" located in the Sanctuary, designed for spa treatments, will feature massage tables as well as a television and plush chairs.
The Sanctuary Cabanas will start at $80 for a half day, while pricing for the Lotus Spa Cabanas will vary depending on treatment.
Princess says additional private cabanas will be available around the Royal Princess' adults-only Retreat Pool, which will be located near the Sanctuary. They'll start at $50 for a half day.
Passengers reserving a cabana in The Sanctuary or around the Retreat Pool will be able to order a Cabana Picnic with gourmet items and a bottle of wine at prices starting at $40 for two, the line adds.
Currently under construction in Italy, the 3,600-passenger Royal Princess is scheduled to debut in June. At 141,000 tons, it'll be Princess' largest ship ever and its first since 2008.
