NEW FORUM FEATURES - Our Forums are now built on the original Forum software we have always used in the past! Not only have we reverted back to this familiar platform, but the latest version now provides many more features and functionality than ever before! Check out the enhancements (and note that additional features coming soon!)… Facebook/Twitter Integration – You can now login to CruiseCrazies using your Facebook and/or Twitter accounts, Your CruiseCrazies status updates can be synched and auto-published to Facebook and Twitter (If you allow) Status and Comment Updates– You can now comment directly to others' status updates! As part of the extensive notification options (more details below), you can receive email notifications when a reply is made to your status, or a reply is made to a status you have commented on. Social Networking Features – Profile Comments, Friends List, Activity Wall are all part of your redesigned CruiseCrazies Profile. Reputation - Amember's reputation is based on the number of points that a user has. It's displayed on their profile and below their photo when viewing a topic. A member receives points when others vote on the content they have submitted to the community. Forum posts and photos all have green + buttons that members can click to vote on the associated content. The idea behind member reputations is simple…The higher someone's reputation, the more recommended/reliable/appreciated their content is. Global Search -Search every area of the community using a central, unified interface located at the top of the page within the navigation menu. More filter, sort, and search options than ever before! Automatic Media Embedding– Ability to include YouTube videos within forum posts Simple bbCOde RichText Format message editor – The familiar, popular editor we have previously used. Makes it easy to format messages! Sharing Links - As most Facebook and Twitter users have discovered, sometimes you see a link to a great article or topic and want to share it with your friends and followers. This new feature makes this very easy to do. You don't even have to leave the page to do it! · To share a page with friends, click on the"Share Link" icon for Facebook, Twitter, Email, or any of the other service icons available. These sharing options are typically located below the content on each page. Once clicked, a pop-up menu will enable you to tailor your message before sending. Notifications: Email, Private Message, and Inline Notifications - New configuration options are available to control your notification preferences from a single page. You can select whether you want to receive email, private message, or inline notifications (or a combination of the above, or none of the above) for each notification event throughout the site. Inline Notifications. Essentially, this is a notification within the forums, without a private message or email being issued. There are many instances where you may want to be notified of an action, but might not want an email to be sent to your email address, or you might not want a private message for such notifications. · A new option has been added to the profile dropdown at the top of any page, allowing you to quickly access your inline notifications. · A "Mark Read" button has been added to the popup so that, in addition to closing or viewing the notification, you can mark it as being acknowledged without having to leave the page. Enhanced Member List Friendly URL's -Human friendly web addresses containing topic titles, versus unrecognizable strings of digits

Hey Everyone, It gives me great pleasure to announce the.... Immediate Grand Re-Opening of the New & Improved CruiseCrazies, the "Friendliest Cruise Community on the Net!" As you can see, we have a completely new look, and we have gone back to using our familiar forums we had used in the past! So what does this mean? All the previous features we have used, such as View Last Post, View New Content, simple formatting, are all back! Also we have LOTS of new features.....Facebook/Twitter account integration, Reputation levels, Link sharing, Comment on Comments, and much more! It's not just the Forums that are reverting back to the old platform - It's the entire site! Once all has been completed, the CruiseCrazies Community will be much more tightly integrated than ever before...For the first time ever, each and every CruiseCrazies feature, including Cruise News, Cruise Reviews, Forums, and everything else, will be built within one platform...For 100% seamless community integration, ease of use, additional functionality, simple navigation, and maximum accessibility. Migrating back to the previously used software has been a HUGE undertaking, but nevertheless we have made it! Though there's still lots of work to do, we are now able to use the new site while the minor glitches are ironed out and the remaining features restored. To make the transition as seamless as possible for all members, all data including forum messages, profiles, signatures, and more, has been preserved and copied over to the new system. Most of the site's features, such as the forums, are already available, however there still are a few pending items that are in the works - Who's Cruising, Cruise Reviews, and a few others. I hope to have them restored (with all previously submitted content) within 1 week. To help organize all questions, answers, bug reports, and information related to the New CruiseCrazies, I created a temporary forum category for this purpose. I highly recommend that you read the messages (at least the Pinned Topics in each forum), so you're aware of the important account information, new features, and frequently asked questions regarding the new site. CRUISE NEWS - 100% Integration- Has been completely rebuilt within the single platform, and is now fullyintegrated with the rest of the site, using the Forum navigation and styles Facebook Like button- Lets you share content with your friends on Facebook. When you click the Like button on a page, astory appears in you and your friends' News Feed with a link back to thatspecific CruiseCrazies page Forum Topic Auto Creation- Each Cruise News Article published is also sent to the Forums as a new topic Comments - Post your input and thoughts directly below each article

EVERYTHING ELSE - WHO'S CRUISING - Work is underway to migrate this feature to the new platform. Once migrated, all previously posted cruises will be restored. CRUISE POLLS - Now embedded directly within the forums! GROUPS - No longer available, due to lack of usage CRUISE CONCOCTIONS - Located within the Forums under the "Cruise Concoctions" forum category. Deals, Cruise Cams, Packing List, Businesses and all other pages - Have already been rewritten, are now completely integrated within the new platform.

MISC FORUM FEATURES - Similar Topics –Located below each forum topic Cabin Accommodations Menu – You can now easily view the hierarchy of CruiseCrazies Cabin Accommodations (posts per level) by clicking any member's ranking below their profile photo and to the left of any forum message. Members Registered Today – On the Forum Index page within the Board Statistics table at the bottom of the page, you can view the current day's new members. "View New Content" Tool - Has 2 options you can choose from within your Control Panel - Show all new content since last visit - Show all content not yet read Notes - located within Control Panel Settings - For storing snippets, or any other information you'd to keep handy Ignore Users –Configurable from your Profile Settings within Control Panel. Ignore users by Forum posts and/or Personal Conversations Private Messages are now Conversations. Included by default are the following folders, with the ability to create additional folders: - New: All unread conversations - My Conversations: All conversations you are participating in - Drafts: Unsent messages saved for later

NEW PHOTOS FEATURES - Category/Album Covers- When viewing an image, you will have a new option to set that image as the 'cover' for the category or album that contains the image. When a cover image is specified for a category or album, that image will always be displayed, in place of the last uploaded image thumbnail. Sub Albums -Unlimited sub albums are now supported, for increased organization of your photos. Profile Picture Album- You can now create a new kind of album, a 'Profile Picture' Album. After this album has been created, any images that you upload to it will be displayed on the change picture page in your User Control Panel, making them easy to select as your profile photo. Photo Notes - Image owners are now able to add notes to sections of their images, positioning and resizing them to suit. Other members will be able to see the notes when hovering over the image. Photo Rotation - Images can now be rotated in 90° increments, to compensate for those photos taken in landscape or portrait, but saved in the wrong orientation. Improved Slideshow- It is now a unified interface, loading images on demand as necessary. You can play or pause the slideshow at will, or jump to specific photos using thethumbnail bar.
