Jan, we only do 3 and 4 day cruises but since we do them so often, we've finally figured out how to pack for them. I take black slacks for the evening and just switch out the tops for 2 of the nights. On the third night, I just wear what I wore onto the ship, which is what I wear when we get off the ship. That way, at least for the photos, I look like I'm wearing different outfits. We do take our luggage on wheels , though, instead of a carry on. That would be too heavy with the shoes and toiletries and all.

Glad you had a great cruise. The Carnival shows that we saw were amazing. The RC shows pale in comparison, my opinion. The Carnival shows had all the glitz and glamour, which I love to see. Congratulations on your new booking.

It's difficult to even think about this in terms of the missing- so horrible. I think that some remains of the bodies might be found but even the image of that is something I don't want to imagine.

I think that too much time has gone by and too much damage to the ship has been done for it to be refloated. I 'm hoping that I'm wrong, though, and that it can be done. It will be very, very interesting to see.

That must be it, Michael and Amy- the cruise options, since they're complaining about losing the change of seasons. I hope that , once they're here, the complaining will stop, but then again, some people always will find something to complain about, right? When they do complain, I'll just tell them to book a cruise. That way they can experience going from hot to hot with an ocean breeze.

Can't imagine doing that. Reminds me of the reality show " Wife Swap". Ever see this with the celebrities? Crazy show.

A friend just told me that starting next May, the Vision of the Seas will be doing 4 day cruises from Ft. Lauderdale. Looks like when the Liberty of the Seas leaves for the season, we won't be shipless in Ft. Lauderdale. Usually when the Liberty leaves, we sail the Majesty of the Seas from Miami. Now we will have a choice. I hope this info is correct.

Just heard that one of our friends who said they would never move to Florida , just sold their home on Long Island and is moving down here. I think that Sandy was the deciding factor. Seems like those weather patterns are changing, no?

Would love more info on this. Can you go to Bimini , stay a couple of days and then come back ?

Wishing you and Yuki a fabulous cruise. We have very fond memories of the Imagination - the only time Wayne and I cruised with my parents and just a few weeks before my dad passed away. Enjoy every moment.
