  1. I had spent 20 years in the Navy and enjoyed the time at sea. I always thought it would be fun to cruise when I didn't have to work and stand watches. When we were married we went to a snowy mountain resort for our honeymoon and for our first anniversary. Then we tried Cancun for a couple years. Then we tried a Princess cruise ...... it is now 47 cruises later. And it convinced me when it was time for a career change 5 years ago, to become a travel agent specializing in cruises.
  2. Any of the French Caribbean ports: Martinique, Isle de Sainte, Guadaloupe, St Barts, French St Martin.
  3. My experience with PC was on Golden Princess: We had opted to try Personal Choice dining. We have normally been traditional late seating on all previous cruises, with or without kids. We had read that 7-8pm was the busiest time so we went down the first night at 8:30pm and were told there was a 15-20 minute wait in both PC dining rooms. We got to a table at 9:05. The second day I attempted to make a dinner reservation for PC dining but was advised at 10am that only one PC dining room was taking reservations and had only 5:45-6:15pm available. With that, I went to the dining room captain in the traditional dining room and requested late seating. He said if we had not heard from him by dinner, just show up at 8:30 and he’s find a place. The dining room seated the four of us and two others at a table for 10, and by the next night had us at a table for 6. We won't be doing PC dining again.
  4. Take a look at: http://www.cruisemontegobay.com/excursions.htm We stopped there some years back and after shopping stopped at [url=http://www.doctorscavebathingclub.com/index.html]http://www.doctorscavebathingclub.com/index.html for the afternoon.
  5. From RCCL website Frequently Asked Questions: We provide Weberman’s Kosher meals, which are Glatt Kosher and certified OU and NK. The meals must be ordered a minimum of 6 weeks (45 days) in advance. These meals are prepackaged, frozen meals which are all served completely sealed in their original packaging to ensure Kosher certification. Plastic cutlery is provided. In addition to the prepackaged meals we also offer freshly prepared salads and fish double wrapped and cooked in aluminum foil. These meals are served on paper plates with plastic cutlery, but are not prepared under strict Kosher supervision. A fax or e-mail must be sent to Randi Galex at 305-539-6018 or rgalex@rccl.com in order to guarantee the meals. Without proper notification we cannot guarantee that the complete Kosher menu will be available. Please list name of guests requiring the meals, ship, sailing date and booking ID # Carnival's FAQ's state: Note: Kosher meals are not available.
  6. Our first cruise after we were married was aboard Regal Princess to the W. Carib. We had two Canadian single women with us at a table for four. When we visited Cozumel...our first time there....we ran into them at Carlos and Charlies. It was in the former location where people used to stick business cards on the wall. There were our two tablemates drinking yards of margarita's, dancing on tables, and having a great time. That is the last we saw of them for the rest of the cruise. Must have been a heck of a hangover. :D
  7. This looks like a great trip. Congrats. We also have a December anniversary and cruise in the second/third week of December and home in time for the holidays. We plan to do 11 days in Dec 2004.
  8. The three we have booked are in my signature. Next one is NCL Dream on 12/14 from New Orleans to Cozumel, Belize, Roatan, and Cancun for 7 days, with a two night precruise stay in the Big Easy. Then 98 days away is a 10 day eastern Carib cruise aboard HAL Maasdam from Norfolk, where the pier is 9.5 mile from my house, saving the two of us over $400 in airfare. :)
