    Cozumel is safe. You can walk off the ship and be very comfortable. The bad things you are hearing about Mexico are ports on the Mexican Riviera. (Pacific Side) Montego Bay, however is not a port you should venture out on your own. If you stay with a ship tour group you should be okay. We were there last Sept and we walked off the ship and stayed in the fenced off secured area to do some shopping. It is safe but most of the shops have closed.

    Chris, we have the same or worse problems than you on flying to FLL. We live about 160 miles east of you in Southern, IN. We took an eleven day cruise on the Noordam on Dec 27, 2012 out of FLL. The cheapest airfare we could find was over $800 each. We ended up driving. (1,080 miles) We stayed one night at the Homewood Suites in Dania Beach, FL, which included free parking and shuttle service to port. http://www.hilton.com/search/hw/us/fl/dania_beach/0/0/0/0/0/0/5?WT.srch=1 Foe our next 3 cruises we are driving (675 miles) to New Orleans.

    Welcome back to reality, Cheryl and Wayne! We've only cruised on 2 RCCL ships, however we are booked on the Serenade of the Seas for a New Year B2B. We hope to enjoy RCCL as much as you do.

    Tim, thanks for the review! The Jewel out of NOLA was one of the ships we were considering for a B2B cruise at New Year. We just opted for the Serenade of the Seas out of NOLA.
