Knowing the ship was having engine problems from prior cruises, the ship should have been put in dry dock and repaired. In my opinion they needlessly put their 'paying customers' through this ordeal. Considering this incident and the Concordia, in just a one year period the Carnival Corp has done major damage to their image and the image of the cruise industry as a whole. We had some friends tell us "You must be nuts booking another Carnival cruise!" Maybe we are?

The first one is always memorable and to win enough money in the casino to pay for the cruise is extra special! No wonder you became "CruiseCrazies!"

It seems very convenient for Carnival to have the ship towed to Mobile since that is where the repairs will be made. If we were aboard I'm sure after that many days stranded we would not be happy campers. Being in a business where machine maintenance is a driving factor in our survival I think Carnival needs to take a step back and review how they maintain their fleet. I really can't say anything bad about Carnival as our our cruises have been fine. They've made some good improvements over the years in food quality and the glitz in their decor has been toned down. As a matter of fact, we just booked another cruise on the Conquest out of NOLA for Sept.

We always use the USPS hold mail service and we put a stop on the newspaper. This year I added 3 wireless IP cameras to our house so we were able to see the 8" snow we had while we were in the Caribbean.

With all the nutty people in the world there probably should be guns on board. I don't see anything wrong with having them on a cruise ship under lock and key and only at the disposal of trained personnel. These days you never know.
