  1. We try to eat in moderation and we do skip the midnight buffets, however, if we gain some--oh well. We do take the stairs only and walk a lot, and of course dance as much as possible, and we also...well you know what we mean!
  2. Have a great cruise Sailinglisa
  3. April, On HAL the auto tip is $10 per day each, making the total for a seven day cruise $140.00. That was the same on Celebrity last year. Not sure what RCI is. Our last cruise on a RCI was the Rhapsody and the recommended amount was $3.50 per day each for cabin steward and head waiter and half of that amount for assistant waiter, making the total $122.50. That was in 2002.
  4. Hi Ann and We haven't sail on NCL yet--but maybe one day. Hey, we will be with you in "Spirit"!
  5. Sue & Joe We aren't on that cruise, however, K's Mom & Stepdad just returned from a Western Caribbean cruise on the Dawn Princess and just loved the ship!
  6. Great review--we did a similar itinerary on the Carnival Elation a few years ago. We would like to try a Princess cruise in the near future.
  7. We can vouch for Luquillo Beach--it is very beautiful!
  8. Tell him I am 57 years old, 6'0" and 230 lbs and don't give a crap what others think. I am who I am. Rita would like for me to lose a few lbs, but she loves me any way! He will see all kinds of folks on the cruise ship--small, medium, large, larger, and larger yet. You guys will be just fine.
  9. Of the four lines we have cruised--Carnival, HAL, Celebrity, and RCI, we choose HAL as our favorite, just barely over Celebrity. All are good, but HAL, in our opinion, has a little better service and we like the layout of the ships a little better. The food is good on all, better than anything we can get around here. We would like to try Princess Cruise Lines and we are a little gun shy with NCL based on some of the comments we have heard. If the right circumstances presented themselves we would still give them a try.
  10. A cruise ship is like a traveling resort which stops at unique places. You don't even have to leave the ship if you don't want to. Everything you need you can find aboard ship. The food is better than you can get other places. You can stay up late and sleep in--no need for a designated driver. It is also nice to be waited on hand and foot for a week or so.Like Shari says, it is also very romantic!
  11. On our stateroom ceiling on the Poseidon--or was it just a dream!
  12. Dan is correct, more specifically Just out of Vancouver.
  13. Great pixs Maria! What did you name your bug?
  14. mswhite444, Can't help you with the ship, however, we have cruised out of Galveston and we have been to Cozumel many times. You will enjoy!
