  1. back to reality Skipper and Roe
  2. stauber--Welcome to CruiseCrazies! This is quote from our review of our Horizon eleven day cruise out of Tampa last New Years, posted on this website: "We stayed at the Hilton Westshore by the airport for $130.00 per night. It included free parking for the length of our cruise. That saved us $110.00 for pier parking. It cost us $5.00 each for transfer to and from ship, so adding $5.00 each way for tips, we figured the stay only cost us $80.00. Not bad and Rita was happy to shop at the big mall near by. Our shuttle was waiting for us upon disembarking ship. We give the Hotel an A+++"
  3. sailingrose--we are doing the "Pepper Dance" in your honor
  4. Have a great cruise, Skipper and Roe!
  5. We just noticed that ssetcetera is on the same cruise and it leaves on Sunday. Hopefully everything will be over by then with minimal damage.
  6. crewzer, Congratulations on your marriage and honeymoon! What day does your cruise leave, Sat or Sun? We would think they would delay the ships arrival in Miami if need be. If your flights can get you to Miami you should be okay except maybe delayed by a day or so. One thing for sure, it will be a memorial trip! Good luck!
  7. Las Vegas, Smokey Mountains, Tunica, Branson, Kentucky-Barclay Lakes, and Florida.
  8. The best kind of insurance you can purchase is the insurance you will never need or not need for a very long time. Since travel can be interrupted do to weather, injury, accident, etc., we always purchase the insurance. You could also have an accident, injury, or sickness while on a cruise or in a port, and having insurance for this seems to us worth the costs. The costs of the insurance is based on your age and total cost of the trip. With you guys being in your 30's, your insurance is less costly than ours, being we are in our 50's. Insurance is one of the few businesses that can age discriminate! We have purchased trip insurance both directly and thru the cruise lines. Also,
  9. Ellen, We just use what is provided--we bring to much stuff on our cruises anyway. If you have prescription goggles you should bring those.
  10. Ellen, We've never snorkeled at Half Moon Cay, however, we have at Buck Island and Coki Beach in St Thomas. They both were very good. I parasailed at Half Moon Cay and it was a thrill. Rita stayed on shore.
  11. After 9/11 we figured it was just a matter of time when passports would be required for some ports. Once we applied we received them in 10 days. That amazed us, as we did not pay extra for speedy delivery. The great thing is they are now good for 10 years and it kind of makes you feel proud to have a USA passport, or Canadian passport, or passport from whatever country you live in.
  12. Karen, A cruise will make it all better! we take ours to relax and get away from all the stresses life presents. It is great therapy!
