  1. We are definitely traditionalists! We enjoy establishing a rapport with the wait staff and our dining partners. The open seating at breakfast and lunch is nice way to meet a lot of passengers. Problem we have is getting up early enough for breakfast in the dining room.
  2. Luv crusin--be sure to add your cruise to the calendar and...
  3. We took an almost identical photo with the church in the background.
  4. Our cruise was Sept of 2000 on the Elation. As soon as we disembarked they were on us. A group of us took a taxi to a beach and they were nonstop on the beach! I think we picked the wrong one.
  5. But stand up first!  Have a great cruise Maria!
  6. Another great looking cruise family enjoying themselves. Great looking photos--you should be proud! Thanks you sharing and making us envious for our next cruise.
  7. Rose, Very nice cruise review--we enjoyed reading. You live a little closer to Port Canaveral than us--we figure we will have about a 16 hour drive for our New Years cruise.
  8. We looked at the photo and knew we had been there. It was to obvious--so we must be mistaken! Always remember to go with your first instinct.
  9. We did our Mexican Riviera cruise as a group--and had a great time. It was our first trip to LA and California. We came in a couple days early and stayed over an extra day. We do not fly well and did not like the long flights, but we are glad for the experience. Sometimes you have to take a little bad to get some good. As others have said, the ports are great--they help make the long trip worthwhile. The only negative in the ports are the pushy vendors, especially in Cabo. Knowing how you like Ocean Liners, the night onboard the Queen Mary will just make your trip even more enjoyable. We would say--go for it!
  10. on your bookings Skipper and Roe--we are jealous
  11. back to reality sailingrose on the short countdown to the Mercury. We loved that ship
  12. lanceb, We sailed out of Galveston on the RCI's Rhapsody of the Seas. We enjoyed the port, as it was our first trip to Texas. We stayed at the Galvez, across the street from the gulf. The island has a shopping district called the Strand, which Rita really enjoyed. The hotel gave us free trolley tokens, which will take you to the downtown Strand area. We plan on booking another cruise out of Galveston in the near future. It may well be on the Grand Princess as that is a cruise line we have yet to cruise.
  13. Very nice photos--what I great looking cruise family!

  17. sailinglisa is correct. That is the Carnival Victory in the background. A group of us were snorkeling from the beach. The person in the photo was not one of us as I was getting a shot of the ship.  p.s. - The photo was scanned off a print from a $10 underwater disposable camera!
