  1. Sorry, Alsacruisen--We can't help you with Viking cruise line or China, but we will you
  2. Have a great cruise on the Fascination! You all deserve it
  3. hamptod Also, welcome to the wonderful world of cruising! We can't add much to what DaCruzNut has told you, as he is right on. We would add, however, in St. Thomas if you do like to shop we prefer the downtown shopping over the shopping at Havensight Mall, were the ships usually dock. We visited Tortola on our last cruise, however we just walked around on our own and did some shopping in the open market near the cruise dock. The traffic was amazing to us considering there is on one traffic light on the island, this is according to one of the friendly locals. Living in a town nicknamed "Stop Light City" this had special meaning to us.
  4. On our last cruise on the Horizon we were at a table for 8 at the very end of one of the dining room "wings." Our first night there was just 6 of us at the table, however, on the second night a mother and her daughter from England joined our table. The mother was 85 and did not like the conversation and actions at her first table from a male couple. Her daughter said she is just to conservative. They turned our to be great table mates with a great sense of humor. We had a ball with them and are still in contact. The ladies all complained of being to cold as our table was below the return air. They tried to adjust the cooling to no avail so they finally switched our location to another table that was not being used. This was after some insistence on our part.
  5. Samushy, As we've said in another post, ANTICIPATION is half the fun of a cruise Booking one closer is a great idea
  6. Hi John and We collect refrigerator magnets from every city we visit, however, that may not work for you. What cruise ship will you be on and what will your job be?
  7. We have one at home so we only use them occasionally on a cruise. Like PEB, we've never had a problem.
  8. Ken We can't help you on horseback riding, however, there is plenty of excursions available in both places. If you like to snorkel, Stingray City in Grand Cayman is not to be missed. In fact you don't even need to snorkel. The water is only about waist high at the sand bar. We will let others help you with Cozumel as we just seem to go shopping and then on to Carlos 'n Charlies!
  9. endowomen, Welcome to CruiseCrazies. We have taken three Carnival cruises and they all have been very good, and they do have very roomy cabins! You are cruising our favorite time of the year to cruise--the winter! It kinda breaks up the winter blahs.
  10. Gogetter, We agree--your wife fixing the Bride's hair was more than enough for a wedding gift.
  11. samson, Welcome to CruiseCrazies from us, as well. The only thing we could add would be--Belize. We snorkeled Shark Ray Alley and it was great! Also, Galveston was our first trip to Texas and we really enjoyed staying at the Galvaz and taking the trolley to the strand. We just did a New Years cruise on the Celebrity Horizon and had a great time. Celebrity is a very good cruise line.
  12. hillorama & roque, Rita helped me pick out my tux a few years ago. She was afraid if I picked one out on my own I may be arrested by the fashion police. After your cruises, be sure to post a photo link so we all can see just how nice you guys look on formal night!
  13. ANTICIPATION! That's half the fun of a cruise!
