  1. bicker, All of your choices would be good--there is no bad cruises--only good and better
  2. Just a follow-up! http://www.bittybitznpieces.com/A%20Woman%27s%20Revenge.htm
  3. We aren't exactly prudes, however, we don't believe thongs would be appropriate on a cruise. Doesn't even matter how good or bad you look in them. Same as not allowing shorts, T-shirts and sandals in the dining room in the evenings. A person has plenty of opportunities to dress as they like. Some people just like to dress to shock and it has nothing to do with comfort. We just spent a week at Siesta Key on the beach and did not notice anyone wearing thongs--which was a first.
  4. ftreloar, Our one and only Alaska cruise was on the Holland America Statendam. They do have a kids program--Club HAL, however, we can't tell you anything about it. Although our cruise was in late July/early August, there were not many kids aboard. We did stay over a couple extra days after the cruise and visited friends in Anchorage. We booked our air thru HAL as well and had them add two extra days before our return flight. That was not a problem. We used a TA that took care of all the details. The only thing we changed was instead of a bus from Seward to Anchorage we took the Alaska railroad. It was well worth the extra fare.
  5. PEB, Your great photos and review brought back fond memories of our Alaska cruise. We would love to be able to do a back to back cruise as you did. Thanks for sharing!
  6. 007, Makes us want to book a Panama cruise! Very good album design--it is great to see others enjoying the wonderful world of sea cruises. Do you have your next booked?
  7. We have a JVC Digital Video Camera GR-DVP3 - Mini DV &Digital Still. We bought it in St Thomas about 2-1/2 years ago. They are a lot more pricey over here, however, you can find them on ebay for about 1/2 of the suggested retail price. The Video portion is outstanding, but the digital still is a little tricky because of the size. It is hard to hold the camera steady for great night shots. http://www.jvc.com/product.jsp?modelId=MODL026270&page=3
  8. Catalina Island, Dominican Republican is part of our itinerary for our New Years cruise.
  9. back to reality PEB--we enjoyed reading your review. It looks like you enjoyed Alaska as much as we did!
  10. Nora, You and hubby have a great time in Curacao!
  11. Sorry--can't help you on fishing or other activities. We ended up at San Pedro on Ambergris Caye after our snorkel trip. We didn't find much to do there except have lunch and hang out at the beach. This website should help you out. http://www.belize.com/ambergriscaye-belize.html
  12. sailingrose, we are dancing with you!
  13. Hi Stacy (want2cruise) We are glad to see you posting & We agree, St. Martin would be a great place to spend a vacation--except we would miss being on a ship! Your upcoming cruise sounds great. If you snorkel, be sure to take a Shark Ray Alley excursion in Belize. We did and it was great! Also, janjay--we are also glad to see you posting. We have yet to visit Aruba--maybe one day!
  14. Our favorite port is Sint Maarten/Saint Martin. It has great shopping, great beaches, casinos, and a great mix of cultures with the Dutch side and the French side. Rita used to say her favorite was St. Thomas, however, after our last cruise she has now changed her opinion. http://www.st-maarten-st-martin.com/
  15. We are almost out of here. Thanks for the send off! We will "sea" you when we "sea" you! Bye Bye
  16. We had the infamous fellow cruiser on our Mercury cruise back in Oct of '99 who I nicknamed Slim Jim. He wore a jacket and tie to formal night--less the shirt. His shoes were the rubber thongs. The next night none of his six table mates showed up. He was alone at his table. We felt sorry for him and invited him to our table--however, he declined. I took a photo of him--the one titled slimjim, click on the thumbnail to get a full size view: http://members2.clubphoto.com/keithrita209...452/guest.phtml
  17. We miss our bed turned down, chocolates on our pillow, and our next day activities spelled out for us in the daily program!
