  16. All the cities we visited on our Alaska Cruise, Juneau, Sitka, Ketchikan, were all easy walks from the ship and none were overly crowded. No problem to take off on your own. Our biggest problem was actually finding some souvenirs dolls for our Grand Kids made in Alaska. Most were made in China!
  17. We liked Canada Place in Vancouver, as well. Also liked Galveston Island, Our favorite Florida port now is Tampa, but actually, any cruise embarkation port will do. Our least favorite is San Pedro (Los Angeles).
  18. We will answer for Jason--No & No. :sealedlips: :sealedlips:
  19. Get the passports--you will be happy that you did! The way the world is today, if it becomes a requirement to visit certain ports, you will be all set.
  20. michelleJ, We sailed on the Mercury in the fall of '99--our first Western Caribbean cruise. It is a very nice ship and we would highly recommend it. The food, service, cabin amenities were all very good. Photo we took of the ship when we stopped at Key West: We also have cruised Alaska and we loved it!
