  3. After five or six days of eating food I can't pronounce, I get a craving for a good ole bowl of chili and a peanut butter sandwich. Rita thinks I am nuts! Don't get me wrong, I enjoy all of that exotic food. Maybe if I asked they would serve it to me, but I would be to embarrassed.

  5. We don't plan anything on sea days. Some times we sleep late and even miss the breakfast buffet. If we do get up early we will take a walk around the deck of the ship have breakfast and then head for the rear pool. We might try bingo and we usually enter the slot tournaments. On port days we usually like to take an early excursion or go shopping and return to the ship for a late lunch and lay out by the pool until sail away.

  7. A magician was working on a cruise ship in the Caribbean. The audience would be different each week, so the magician allowed himself to do the same tricks over and over again. There was only one problem: The captain's parrot saw the shows each week and began to understand how the magician did every trick. Once he understood, he started shouting in the middle of the show: "Look, it's not the same hat" "Look, he is hiding the flowers under the table" "Hey, why are all the cards the Ace of Spades?" The magician was furious but couldn't do anything; it was, after all, the captain's parrot. One day the ship had an accident and sank. The magician found himself on a piece of wood in the middle of the ocean with the parrot, of course. They stared at each other with contempt, but did not utter a word. This went on for a few days. After a week the parrot said: "OK, I give up. You got me on this one ... where's the boat?" :D :D

  11. If you are planning on doing any snorkeling buy your underwater disposable cameras at your local Walmart or a facsimile. You will save $$ if you have to purchase aboard ship or on one of the islands.

  13. An old lady was standing at the railing of the cruise ship holding her hat on tightly so that it would not blow off in the wind. A gentleman approached her and said: "Pardon me, madam. I do not intend to be forward, but did you know that your dress is blowing up in this high wind?" "Yes, I know," said the lady, "I need both hands to hold onto this hat." "But, madam, you must know that your privates are exposed!" said the gentleman in earnest. The woman looked down, then back up at the man and replied, "Sir, anything you see down there is 85 years old. I just bought this hat yesterday!"

  15. Don't feel bad Mebert--we have booked our own air and so far so good. If we had booked on that same cruise out of San Juan we would have done as exactly as you did. The only time we let the cruise line book our air is in the winter for the obvious reasons, or for our Alaska cruise for the same reason stated by sailinglisa. It sounds like another cruise line on or near that date would be a good choice.
