  1. I have heard that you are allowed to bring wine or champagne aboard Carnival ships for personal consumption and if you use it in the dining room there is a corkage fee. I really don't know that information first hand. You'd better check with the cruise line. I do know that one is not allowed to bring hard liquor aboard for personal consumption. If you do bring it, it will be confiscated and returned at the end of the cruise.
  2. I really enjoyed everybodies photos. There were really impressive. Here's one of the port area of St. Maarten that I like because of the colors. Unfortunately, you have to click the thumbnail to see the full sized photo.
  3. There are only 29 more days to wait before my next cruise. When I started out the countdown clock was 250 some odd days. That was completely unbearable. I didn't think I could wait that long. I entertained myself with reading Cruise Crazies Reviews, looked at photographs of ships and ports, and read your messages. That's right Cruise Crazies. You all helped me get through that long period of not being on a ship. It won't be long now and I'll be out of here. I could not have made it without you. Thank you all.
  4. Here's mine. This is the Carnival Legend docked in Tortola, BVI
  5. Hi everybody, I've added some photos of my Carnival Valor cruise taken on April 23, 2006. The Valor visited Nassau, St. Thomas and St. Maarten. Unfortunately, for some reason I only took digital pictures of the pier in St. Maarten. I don't know where my camera was durning Nassau and St. Thomas. I must have been in a food coma from an overeating binge during the other periods. Here's the link: http://travel.webshots.com/album/558266874YdTbtH?start=0 Enjoy!
  6. jennifer, I love Nassau. The inhabitants are very friendly. My niece got married there last summer and the whole party felt pretty safe when we ventured out at night. The Pirate's Museum and the Straw Market are both very close to the pier. Both are in walking distance from the pier so you can save some of the excursion money for something else. Like jtutak said, the #10 bus is a nice bus line that terminates in Cable Beach. In between downtown and Cable Beach is a section of Nassau called Fish Fry where there are loads of seafood restaurants if you like to eat fresh caught fish. I hope you and your family enjoy your cruise.
