  1. Shari2, I can't wait to taste the Calico Bean dish and the butterscotch cheesecake. 50's music is fine with me.
  2. hazelson, DaCruzNut, and rogue, Thanks for your contributions. This sounds like the start of a good party. Champagne and chocolate covered strawberries will be in the suite.
  3. Hi Everybody, As you may know there are different cabin categories designated to members for the number of messages posted on the CruiseCrazies board: Inside Cabin, Oceanview, etc. Thanks to Lisa63 I have posted my 1000th message and have been upgraded to "Suite with Balcony," therefore I have a little more room and I'm able have a little virtual gathering. Right now, unless it's by some miracle, the virtual upgrade is the only way I'll have a suite with a balcony. I invite you to check out the cruises I've been on (Check the bottom of my signature) and ask me any questions regarding my experiences. Hopefully you'll get to know me a little better and the limited number of ships I've sailed. This is Pot Luck so bring a dish from the Lido Deck. Let me know what you're bringing.
  4. Hi Lisa63, INVU. I've always looked forward to sailing to Bermuda. Congratulations on your booking.
  5. Popdog, I enjoyed your review of HAL Zaandam. Sorry that you were inconvenienced because of hurricane season and distress calls and glad to hear that you still love cruising.
  6. Keith & Rita, That was a great link . As far as thongs are concerned I think there is a proper time and place for everything. The question about whether or not thongs are appropriate for a cruise ship I believe has to do propriety. It's usually not proper to wear shorts in the dining room even though some people do it. Guest are advised about formal evenings, yet some guest decide to wear jeans on those evenings. There are usually sections of the ship reserved for women who like topless sunbathing. No one seems to think its proper to have topless sunbathing in the general area. I don't think thongs are appropriate in the public areas of the cruise ship except on the stage for the Las Vegas style show. If thongs are worn maybe an appropriate cover-up can be worn. BTW, No I couldn't get away with wearing a thong.
  7. Lisa63, Thanks for taking the time to answer my question.
  8. Dan, Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions about Halifax and St. John's. A New England/Canadian cruise may be in my future after all.
  9. Dan, Thanks for the info. Can you tell me a little more about the cruise experience in Halifax and St. John?
  10. Bye KarenUK, You have a wonderful time on your cruise.
  11. Rat, I'm so glad you were able to use the credit from Celebrity. I also hope you had a nice time anyway during the Easter season.
  12. sjduskin, That is the most detailed diagnosis on PCDS that I've ever heard. You must have been in consultation with Doctors Cruisechic2005 and DaCruzNut. According to the survey there seems to be an epidemic. Your message was a hoot.
  13. destinyindec, I enjoyed reading your review. I'm so glad you had a great time on the Carnival Destiny. The Destiny was my very first cruise and IMHO it does have one of the best itineraries out there. Carnival seems to have many ships doing the same itinerary so I think they depend on people liking the cruise ship experience. The Destiny has one of the different itineraries on the east coast. It's also nice to sail from Puerto Rico. I noticed that you stayed a couple of days just like I did. It was the best decision of my life. I love Puerto Rico.
