  1. Cogburn55, Bon Voyage and have a great cruise. May you have smooth sailing.
  2. Keith & Rita, Congratulations! We're doing the doc dance with you!
  3. Hi JoeyandDavid, If I'm looking for solitude I'd go on a retreat. A cruise is the last place I'd go for solitude.
  4. frostyboy, Bon Voyage and have a great cruise. May you have smooth sailing.
  5. nib1050, Bon Voyage and have a great cruise. May you have smooth sailing.
  6. The most I've done was about 11 months. As the time approaches for my cruise, I usually get a little depressed if I don't have something booked immediately after, so I always try to layer the bookings.
  7. GottaCruz, teacp is right. With the number of cruises you've had with Carnival, they should send you some Carnival stock for the holidays. Doesn't Carnival know that passengers talk to each other on the boards. It doesn't make for good public relations to not have access for all past passengers or some criterion to receive special premiums. I enjoy my cruises on Carnival so much that I'm not going to let get to me but I could use a $100 stateroom credit.
  8. I voted no because if I were married, the single supplement would be community property and I wouldn't want to spend it. I'd find a friend to cruise with and let them pay the other half. Cruising with someone else is so much more fun and safer even though you split up once in a while.
  9. Sorry about that. Somehow I double posted.
  10. s73645, I'm sorry you had such a rough time on the Millennium. It is possible for people to experience different degrees of satisfaction on a ship because there are so many different sections and so many different crew members. Unfortunately, you met more than one on the negative end of things. I do hope you give cruising Europe another chance, if not on Celebrity maybe another line. I find it so fascinating to explore the different European countries and have the ship be my home base. I hope your next cruise makes up for this negative experience. I really feel for you.
  11. mercedes, I haven't received anything yet. I'm happy for you but I'm really jealous too.
  12. saltydog, Bon Voyage and have a great cruise. May you have smooth sailing. Enjoy! Have a drink on me!
  13. Princess Cruiser, Happy Birthday to you and may you enjoy many, many more in good health and prosperity!
  14. JoeyandDavid, Thanks for the great review. I'm sorry for the fruit flies but glad that they were able to straighten it out to your satisfaction. I'm dying of curiousity regarding the boycott of the purchase of wine and the behavior of the sommelier. How dare he not take your order for sparkling water. That sounds like the epitome of arrogance. I'm sorry you had to experience that. Did you do anything extra interesting at the ports of call?
  15. mercedes, Thanks for the old article. It shows that we really have to be cautious when purchasinging insurance. I'm distressed at how the couple was treated by the cruise line.
  16. Congratulations to the Chamber of Commerce of Norfolk for quick thinking. It's great that the passengers were offered something to do while staying unexpectedly in Norfolk. We all know how much fun one can have on a ship. I only feel badly for those folks who had there hearts set on doing something specific in the Bahamas that was time sensitive.
