zebra, I'm so glad you had such a great time. I'm sorry I was not on board to post in a more timely manner. Venice is one of my favorite places too. I guess I love walking the streets without having to look out for cars. I also love the colorful architechture and the many churches with loads and loads of wonderful works of art. I really do envy you're having been there so recently. When I stayed in Venice, I stayed in a hotel called the Albergo Ateneo which was right near the Venice Opera House called Theatro La Fenice. The phenomenal thing about the hotel was that it was in a very busy area with restaurants and opera patrons but one never heard anything while inside the very cozy little hotel. They also arranged a boat ride to Murano where the Venetian glass is made. Yes, I think Venice is one of my favorite cities in Italy.

Perhaps you can send some feedback to the facilitators and suggest they include more free time during days at sea. Afterall, they did arrange for the seminars to be at sea. Why not enjoy the entire experience.

The vast majority of my cruises have been with Carnival and I like that line very much. I had a very negative experience with another line that is still not resolved and I don't know if I will ever sail that line until the situation is resolved.
