  1. Jason, You may be right. However, I feel awful for the trauma that the passengers and crew had to experience but the event still won't discourage me from cruising. It may be the same for the vast majority of experienced cruisers. The problem may be with potential passengers who've be straddling the fence on whether or not they should cruise. This may scare some of them off.
  2. We usually order room service once or twice. I enjoy the focaccia and the assorted cookies. Most of the other times I'll go for the 24 hour pizza or ice cream.
  3. dmd, Like Gregswife, I have mostly sailed on Carnival. I have noticed that there is an option for passengers who carry the own luggage to disembark very early. Those passengers have to be ready by 7:30 AM. But, that's Carnival. You should check with your cruiseline for their disembarkation policy. Another consideration would be the port. If you have a lot of luggage some of the ports require the use of ramps, stairs or escalators. If you have a lot of luggage, it may not be convenient. If you pack light, then it should not be a problem. If you have an early flight usually the cruiseline is aware of it and will give you the appropriate tags for you flight. If you have a late flight, you usually can expect a little wait. I have been on some cruises where disembarkation was go to the gangway as soon as you were ready. Good luck.
  4. nanapinky, In Nassau, the bathrooms are mostly in bars and restaurants. If you're near a larger hotel you can use the accommodations there. If in the downtown area, you can always work your way back to the port where there are relatively clean facilities there. If you're visiting The Atlantis on Paradise Island, there is no problem at all. Most of the larger hotels have facilities. Just walk in like you belong there. I'm bold like that. If you're doing some shopping, sometimes the store has facilities if you're a serious shopper, but don't count on it. Otherwise, it's bars and restaurants and stay close to the port.
