Interesting article. Thanks, Jason. I did once, a few years back as a 30-year old widow, think of going on a single's cruise, and possibly sharing a room with another lady that I didn't know. I am usually very open and friendly, but at times I am still a little shy, and didn't know if I wanted to room with someone that I didn't know. This sounds really great that you can get a nicer room and with spending less money, and on nice ships. Just need to do your research.

I can see that a lot of people have been to the Bahamas and they don't always want to get off the ship. It will be nice in the Bahamas if they find different things that the people will be interested enough in to come off the ship again. Redeveloping the Prince George Dock in Nassau sounds like a good idea. Maybe even just having some young people from schools with bands, and playing some nice music, if they do that in the Bahamas, will get people's interests in coming off the ship. Kind of like a nice welcome to the Bahamas.

Always wanted to try a repositioning cruise. Think it would be really nice with the money saved and more time onboard, and still seeing nice ports. Thanks Jan!

Wow! Sounds like Carnival is going all out. This can really improve on people's opinions of Carnival, and bring on more guests. I was on the "Holiday" back in the '80s and wasn't very happy with food, entertainment, etc. Went again years later on "Carnival Liberty" with friends, and it was much changed and so much better then. This should all be a great improvement. Good for them!

Agree with you all. I do have to say that I am not superstitious in any way, and I would love to see everything on the ship, but might still feel a little uncomfortable at times remembering the movie and all.

Hi Jeanette...congratulations on your Alaska cruise! Jackie is right, you will be able to have a nice family portrait done on the ship, and many other chances for pictures. Sounds like a great addition. The smaller luxury ships are very popular... although the 64, 000 GRT isn't that small it would be a nice size for all the nice pampering.

Will be nice for people who like tattoos...not for this old lady though. ?
