  1. Wow! Thanks so much Todd for sharing your cruise and all experiences with us. Wonderful information and great pictures...the camera was well worth it! ? Loving all the pictures, and all the great information about Singapore, the ship, and Hong Kong. Hope all went well with the last minute changes from the weather, and hope there was no damage from the typhoon anywhere.
  2. Wow! Love the pictures! Just seeing everything now... forgot about this forum. Will be back later to comment on your reviews and great pictures. It's now 4:36 AM here...time to go to bed...LOL
  3. Nice! San Diego is a great port. Love the city...lots to do and see. Have been on many Mexican cruises, but the repositioning cruise sounds great. Will also be nice to have to have "Panaroma" in Long Beach. Used to live there. Nice city!
  4. Interesting! Lots of great advice here. Thanks Australian Cruising News! Didn't even think that Medicare might not cover in certain instances. We always do get insurance now. We did have to use it twice also. Had to cancel two cruises. The first time, my mother had a heart attack, and the second time my husband fell out of a tree he was cutting...broke his foot. We didn't have any troubles getting our money back. I sure do agree with getting insurance, especially if you're older. Have also been on a cruise where someone had a heart attack and had to have a helicopter take him back to a hospital. Luckily we weren't too far from land then.
  5. Thanks for the information, Australian Cruising News. Love the large pictures of the rooms. On other ships I have been in all of the different rooms except the highest suite. Maybe someday! ?
  6. Great thoughts, Jan...Love them! We do usually plan way ahead, and have so many things we want to do and see, but when you get back home it's amazing that sometimes the most memories are from something simple that we never would have thought of. It may be the beauty of the country we are in, or how nicely we are treated by the citizens of that country, or even the food, it may be a big surprise from what we expected. We should definitely save a little time to just enjoy being where we are.
  7. Great ideas, Jason...love the one of taking pictures of your children...just in case. Also a picture of your passport. Just in case.
  8. I like the smaller ships, but also like a lot of activities and food eating choices. It is kind of sad to see them go.
  9. Cruznuts...I have not been loyal to any one cruise line either, but do have a favorite in Celebrity...only one we have sailed on twice. We also watch the price, time of year... no summers, or spring breaks, and do try and avoid the hurricane season, so that doesn't leave us many choices, but we do sail in the late fall, and love to get away from the winters here in MN. We have sailed in spring before most of the spring breaks when we could. We have also been to Hawaii twice...once we flew to Oahu and boarded the ship there, the SS Constitution, and then the other cruise to Hawaii was from San Diego to Oahu, round trip on Celebrity's, Infinity. We had a little more time to spend in Hawaii when we flew there, we stayed a few extra days, but the long cruise to Hawaii was a wonderful experience also. Have fun on both of your cruises, and we will love to hear you talk about it when you return. Stay here anytime and join in on all of the articles and social forums.
  10. Don't think it would be a good idea to bring her back into service...too costly, and most want the newer ships. Think that it may be a good idea to fix her up a bit and make her into a paid for tourist attraction like they did to the Queen Mary. Maybe?
  11. Thank you for the great articles, Scalise 12. Beautiful pictures! So glad that St.Maarten is doing well now, and good to know the promotions being offered by Princess. Sad about all the people getting the Norovirus. Way too much of this happening on cruise ships. Sadly, it seems to happen because people are carrying the bug onto the ship. So hard to contain it. So sad about Buzz Aldrin's fight against his own family.
