We too went on a cruise after 9/11 for my parents 50th Anniversary. Wouldn't have stopped us and a lot of our family had to fly from NY

That is definitely a question that gets posed to many captains but of course they won't tell you what security measures are in place. I thought back to the Achille Lauro and the execution of Leon Klinghoffer when I saw this story

I should also say to never be afraid to Cruise with the Crazies! We have had a wonderful time with all our new friends.

I guess it depends on what I really want. Sightseeing, excursions, or just a restful trip. If it's rest then the ship really matters more to me.

I hope they are successful. The environmental impact could be devastating for such a small port.

The only people I prefer not to cruise with again is my extended family. My parents are great but the last bunch of siblings and an uncle I could live without.

One of the ships had a drug dog aboard only on the runs that included Jamaica. I have seen service dogs that don't look like typical service dogs, some are seizure dogs.

Not a big surprise. The ship is over 20 years old and the Sovereign is doing well sailing for Pullmantur. Another classic ship will leave the fleet.

Got our luggage tags and printed our Set Sail Pass. Time to Dance!!!

http://www.princess....413697104.00523 Caribbean Princess Update Caribbean Princess experienced a problem with the port propulsion motor which necessitated the ship returning to San Juan yesterday to evaluate the situation. After further review by technical experts, we have confirmed the full extent of the damage to the motor. We now know the time and work required to make the repairs and we regret that we need to cancel the next two voyages, departing March 18 and March 25. Cancelling a cruise is not a decision we take lightly, and we sincerely apologize to our affected passengers for the disappointment this causes. Passengers booked on these sailings will receive a full refund as well as a 25% credit towards a future cruise. Those who booked their flights through Princess will receive a full refund or a future air credit based on the type of air purchased. Passengers who booked their air independently can submit their air change fees to Princess for a refund. We will also refund any transfers, pre- and post-hotel packages and government fees and taxes. Passengers are currently being notified with these details. The next Caribbean Princess cruise is scheduled to depart from San Juan on April 1.
