Can't speak for NCL but on RCI we do tip the concierge depending on how much they do for us. The Concierge service provide: pre-dinner cocktails, canapes, continental breakfast, advice on the ports, reservations for the spa, shore excursions, and restaurants, etc. Each lines concierge does different things so I guess if you use the service you should tip something depending on how much help you felt they were.

Welcome aboard. You'll love the Radiance, she's absolutely beautiful. I've had the pleasure to sail her twice and would go again in a second.

That's a tough question as each line is different. On Celebrity they tended to be more reserved but as a whole did a good job. I still prefer the service on RCI as they seemed to care more about their passengers.

Lisa I loved the close up view of Los Arcos. I didn't do the beach part, just the cruise out there and loved it. Pictures will be posted soon as we just returned on Sunday.

What a wild 9 days. Hope that you are all well and that you didn't receive too much hurricane damage. Give me a few days to catch up and I'll be posting pictures and a review. Let me just say that I met a wonderful bunch of people who gave me lots of moral support as I was worried about our home and our daughter during Hurricane Jeanne. They loaned me phones, watched me worry and tried to keep me busy so I could enjoy myself. A cruise is great but it's the people that surround you that make it even better.

Just wanted you all to know we're here in San Francisco. The weather is great today. We took a cruise on the Red and White Fleet to the Golden Gate Bridge and past Alcatraz. The Diamond Princess is docked here today. Have a great week all.........I'll be catching the Mercury tomorrow! Yipee!!!

Just wanted to thank everyone for their support during the awful hurricanes we've had here in Florida. Looks like the hurricane gods didn't get my cruise after all as we'll be flying out on Wednesday no matter what!!!! WooHoo!!!!!! My Dh and I will be celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary in style aboard the Mercury. It's hard to believe that we're getting to go, still feels unreal. I'm still packing and doing last minute stuff so I thought I'd stop in now to thank you all and to have you join in our good news!!!! Yipee!!!! :cool: :cool: :cool: :cool:

An RCI commercial can make me stop what I'm doing and sing! Love those commercials and they make me escape for a few moments.

Glad that's over. I'm sure Port Canaveral and the surrounding areas can use the tourist money to help rebuild so this is wonderful news.
