Can't say I've had awful tablemates. Many have become friends thru the years. On our last trip they sat my husband and I at a table for 6. 4 single women and us. They requested a table change which was fine with us as we really didn't have anything in common. There were some people in June I would have hated as tablemates. They reminded me of the stiff old people in the Titanic movie! They were all prim and proper and gave our table the eye the entire week because we were laughing and joking. These are the same people who came into late seating dinner nights an hour late!

As already said, the bathroom items are very important. I always pack that suitcase first so I can take my time. Make sure you carry these aboard ship so no chance of getting lost. Second most important to me is comfortable shoes, lots of walking both on and off the ship. 2 bathing suits are very handy. Try to mix and match outfits. It will cut down on how many things you bring. I usually take dark pants and 2 shirts to go with them for dinner 2 nights. Don't bring extra t-shirts.......we always seem to buy one somewhere, usually with the ships name on it.

Jason it's 18 on RCI but not sure about the other lines. RCI also lets 18 year olds drink beer and wine. Sorry you didn't have a better gambling time gogetter. Maybe next time. I've done the Sterling one and didn't have much luck either.

Started packing the day after Thanksgiving. Only the bathroom items at the moment. Have tried on some things too but no suitcases yet. Next week probably. Thanks all! I'm really excited! Doesn't matter if it's the first cruise or the 20th.....I'm still thrilled!

Refrigerator magnets for sure and a plate or something like that to hang on our travel wall.

Only decorate on Christmas sailings. Every time something different. This year probably a package on our door. Also decorate our cabin for Christmas including the balcony!

Washing my flannel pajamas as I type. Central Florida (near Pt. Canaveral) will be only in the mid 60's tomorrow. BRRRRR. I agree that in the 70's is beautiful but once we hit the 60's I'm COLD! Glad it never lasts too long here.

Over 20 now. Probably about 24. It's the only vacation we take now. Probably will be in the future too. When my kids were younger we never lost them and now that you are older teens they do their own thing. My daughter is a true nut about cruising. Best and only way to travel.

LOL Gottacruz! If you don't know Duct tape comes in a flat package.......It's made by Anchor and I bought it at Big Lots. I think Duck also makes it. Somewhere on the internet I saw a dress made of duct tape!

Aruba for the beautiful beaches and the amazing snorkeling. Anywhere in Alaska would be my cold weather pick! Absolutely beautiful!
