One morning we treat ourselves to eggs benedict in the dining room. Other morning we go to the buffet if it is a sea day or have room service if it is a port day. Lunch is usually at the buffet if we are on the ship. Mid-afternoon is a stop at the Promonade for some cookies or small sandwiches to hold us over and dinner is always in the dining room except for one night when we go to the specialty restaurant. Never really eat at the midnight buffet but may have something little if they have a deck party in the evening.

We each take 1 large bag plus one garment bag. Also have to take that carry-on inside the empty suitcase so I guess that answers your last question. Yes - I definately need every single think I pack.

I never wear my watch on the ship but always wear it when I'm in port. Don't want to watch the ship sailing away without me.

Following those tips I just might be able to squeeze in one more cruise each year. Thanks for posting them.

Other than some t-shirts I don't spend much time shopping in ports unless it is in Jewelry stores and those little trinkets don't take up too much room. LOL In all seriousness though I generally pack our carry-on bag and then put that inside a small empty wheeled bag which we then use for any extras we may pick up along the way. Had to run to the gift shop too often to buy another bag on the last night so I learned my lesson awhile ago.

We also really enjoy getting all dressed up for formal night. I have several gowns and hubby finally broke down and bought his own tux. We never get to do it at home so look forward to it on the ship. Other night, usually capris and nice top for me and golf shirt or Caribbean shirt and dockers for Jim.
