I have not been on the Navigator but have sailed on several ships from that class. Unless you have an aft balcony they are quite small - just room for a small table and 2 chairs. I don't think anyone could sleep out there. On both the Voyager & Explorer they told us they were "not allowed" to open the petitions between the balconies so we did not persue it any further.

Cheryl - hang in there. Remember that you have many many friends here pulling for you. I'm sorry your DD is giving you such a hard time right now but remember be strong - be firm and stick to your guns. Your daughter needs a Mother - it is not necessary for you to be her Best Friend Too! I remember years ago my DD thought she had the meanest mom in the whole wide world - today we are great friends and (I guess) all is forgiven. (Now it's her turn to be the meanest Mom in the whole world)
