  1. I have enjoyed both parts of your saga on your first cruise. I must say it is beautifully written and takes the reader along on your adventure. I hope you luck on future cruises improves.

  5. Thanks for the review AgentJoey - Glad you enjoyed your cruise.
  6. We generally book when school is in session but this year will be cruising in August since the girls we are taking are students and can only go in the summertime. I must say I am not looking forward to all the kids I'm sure will be aboard but I refuse to let that ruin my cruise. We definately enjoy the specialty restaurants and love the complete peace and quiet of sitting on our balcony watching the world float by. I did get quite tired of the sales pitches in the spas and have stopped visiting them.
  7. Count us in - that would be one terrific cruise.
  8. I find our power strip extension cord a must have with camera batteries, phones, etc all needing a recharge. We also bring downey wrinkle release as well as Lysol wipes plus our own hand sanitizer.
  9. Karen - terrific photoshow - thanks so much for sharing with us.

  12. Welcome crissyp - I'm so glad you have found the friendliest cruise site on the web. We all have our love of cruising in common and if we can't be cruising we enjoy talking about it. I have never sailed on Princess but I'm sure lots of our members will have any information you may need. Please ask any questions you may have and before you know it you will be hooked like all of us.

  18. The majority of our cruises are on Royal Caribbean and we do not attend their Crown & Anchor party early on in the cruise - much too crowded, etc. However later in the cruise they have a separate party for the higher levels of C & A and we do usually attend that one. It is not nearly as crowded and you usually get to spend time talking to the different ship officers who attend. They generally have a very nice buffet type set up and plenty of drinks to go around.
  19. Cheryl - that story is hysterical. You sure had a terrific idea and I for one thought it was a great gift. Too bad your BIL didn't see the humor in it.
  20. Wow - you get such great deals down there in Florida. Are you going to go?
  21. Back in 1964 - 2 years out of high school my 2 best friends and I went on the old Home Lines Homeric cruise to Nassau. This was before Paradise Island and the Atlantis hotel and I remember other than the straw market there was little to do but I fell in love with cruising. I remember we had to tender into town and had to climb down metal stairs they suspended from the deck. Back in those days we were warned not to eat or drink anything in port. I married a few years later and it took me until 1977 to convince Jim that we should cruise. After that cruise I had him hooked and we have been crusing ever since.
  22. Bon Voyage - have a great cruise on the Caribbean Princess. Please consider submitting a review when you return. Wishing you blue skies and calm seas.[/size]

  24. Although I have enjoyed every minute of our Caribbean cruises my all time favorite port has to be Bermuda. We have cruised there at least 15 times. I really enjoy spending several days in one port over going to a different port each day.
  25. Jeff - That is a terrific idea. They look great all framed. I collect the usual - shot glasses - shirts and also Christmas Tree ornaments. I have made fridge magnets from all my Sign and Sail cards. May goal is to cover the whole fridge.
