    Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the Star Princess. I'm sorry your cruise did not live up to your expectations but hopefully you will find another line which will suit your needs better. Please keep posting here - perhaps someone elses review will make you want to try another line sometime in the future.     We really enjoy the peace and quiet of the aft balconies. It's a longer walk to your cabin but that allows for that 2nd dessert. LOL. There is less foot traffic back there and the balconies are huge. However, I would never NOT sail because there was not one available - in fact on our August cruise we have a mid-ship balcony on deck 8 right across from the girls going with us.

    James - Welcome back. Glad you had a good cruise despite a few problems. It is always great to meet new on-line friends though.

    We figure the cost of insurance in as part of the cost of the cruise. Our recent health scare with Heather (who will be on our next cruise with us) makes us realize we can't book a cruise without immediately booking the insurance also.

    Only have one planned - August - Explorer of the Seas - 9 days Bermuda & Caribbean. It does seem awfully far away though so am looking for something around May.

    We started cruising with the old Home Lines. When they went out of business we sailed on Bermuda Star Lines; Cunard; Norwegian; Celebrity and Royal Caribbean.
