I don't know maybe depends on how old you are. I usually do not even go. The cabin steward will come by, if they open the door i tell them i am sick and they leave. I am really sick of going to those things. I read the evacuation route on the back of the door, follow it and check it out. I mean, eventually if you ever pay attention to anything on a ship you will probably do the evacuation several times during the course of the cruise. also, i make sure we have life jackets. The reason i say this is because........once at the beach here in Florida my wife and i were swimming in the ocean. Beofre i knew it we couldnt touch. Calmly i asked my wife to swim with me a little more parallel to the shore....what you are supposed to do in a rip current....then we make our way to shore. Moral of the story......you read, hear or learn how do to do things in life but yet never practice them. When the time comes, in an emergency some not all people ....will know what to do.... some., many probably won't. it will be people like me with common sense and acting cool calm and collected that will save a life and many others. Well thats how i feel. i have been to a couple but not all drills.

I have not tried as many of the other lines as you all. I tend to stick with Carnival. Like another poster stated, we too are Platinum and enjoy the VIP boarding and laundry FREE service. I have noticed a decline in service over the past 6 years however it still is a great deal. Just pick a ship and itinerary and enjoy. After all most everything in life is what you make it!

Well things have changed.......NOW we are going on the Legend out of Tampa. Changed Costa Maya for Grand Cayman.originally got an 8E .....just called and the price dropped. Upgraded to a 8K extended balcony and got 60 dollars back.....Of course i will submit a review!

yea, have been through a lot of things recently. Finally sorted many things out and seem to be back to a little normal.

Hello fine people......... I just booked the Dream for September 18th of this year. Military discount on a Cove Balcony ....yippeeeee....... Any and all info greatly appreciated and of course i will do a review when i get back.. 1st of all.....holy bugeebees....Parking is up to $15 a day at Port Canaveral....they better have airconditioned golf carts to take you from parking to the terminal and back......lol..might as well throw in a drink of the day, compliments of the fat cats getting rich at Port Canaveral...lol.. This will be the western Route going to Cozumel Belize Isla Roatan Costa Maya.... Anyone been to these ports? Thanks all and have a great day!

Hello, On our last 2 trips we were able to board about 11:30 HOWEVER to echo the Skipper, we were not allowed to our staterooms until 13:30. I find that ridiculous. I mean in the past they have been able to get directly to the stateroom. Oh well things change. It is kinda funny though, going to get something to eat and the Lido deck, Everyone running around with their carryons and such. Talk about baby strollers at a craft fair. Wait til you get a load of this!!!!!

Hello, Some of the things i have read and heard....... I believe in April of 2008 her husband headbutted her in a quarrel and successfully finished some sort of course. She has had bizarre behaviour and mood swings over the last few years. She and her husband were happy together and got along and were looking forward to starting a family. Just seems so strange that by all accounts in recent months she seems to have been happy. Then jumps? I just don;t understand.........and to do it on a cruise with probably the 2 most loved ones in your life?

Hello, We have been and went to Turtle Beach. You could see Nevis from there. You know another pretty beach with a bar and stuff. Great ride there. There also is a Marriott along the way if you want to sneak in...lol...

Port Canaveral. I think i like the port in Ft Lauderdale the best though....Port Everglades

Hello, I have been to both 2 different times. St Thomas, we wnet to Magens Bay both times and had a great time. I had a good experience at the bar and with the food. Never a problem for me. I find it rather offensive that someone would state do not eat there becuase it took so long. If that was the case they would be outta business food wise anyways. Again never a problem for me. St Maarten......we went to the shops along Front Street. great prices on jewlery, then just picked a beach bar along the way. Had fun. Don't ever take the first price they offer, you can haggle with them and get them down in price. Good luck and best wishes on a fun time.

Hazelson.... Jeans have always been allowed in the dining room. I have wore them on all my cruises dating back to 1992. They are nice jeans of course.... Carnivals 'NEW' policy only proves what i have been saying all along however more importantly they could never really stop all the jeans. They tried....oh well....... My wife and i usually sit on the Promenade deck and watch the flow of people that are coming fromdinner and going to dinner. OMG....seriously, when ladies where those dresses 5+ years old from their hgih school reunions, weddings, proms and whatever...........give me a break that takes away from my dining experience. If you wanna complain about dress what about hairstyles?....lol

Hello, I just returned from the Triumph and a trip to Paradise beach Club. Nice place and everything was cool, except 2 things...... I wanted to sit at the bar and drink. Jesus told me i could, only if i ordered beers from him(it was his section on the beach), since my wife was sitting in a lounge chair at the beach. No big deal, just wanted to sit in the shade and drink beer. I would have spent more money....oh well.... Secondly...........WARNING.....WARNING.........WARNING...........If you happen to go use the showers, be extremely careful . Those tiles are slippery. I can't stress how slipperry they are. JUST BE CAREFUL.

Hello, Yes they do have sushi Promenade deck midship. Poker ? Thank you all for the well wishes. Previous vacation plans fell through, so i called Carnival and got a cabin, in case you all want to know, 1600 for a 4A guaarntee. Upgraded to a 4B, not bad for my 10th Carnival VIP cruise. Thanls again and i will do a trip report after.
