Hello, Just so you kow i am the PC expert..............olololollolol An hour at most from the airport........................however this week there have been fires and parts of the Beachline and I-95 have been shut down. My recommendation would be NO to a 12 pm departure from the airport....but..... Raddison at the port is a great hotel.......i would say NO to Hilton........ Good luck.............

Hello, Welcome home..................

Hello, Welcome Jim..................... i agree that you get blasted for stating an opinion or the FACTS from a cruise from other boards.........but guess what? NOT HERE I recently cruised the Carnival Glory and wore jeans every night including formal night. Never a problem. So no matter what feathers get rustled, it happened. No matter what someones perception is, IT Happened. Right wrong or indifferent, i wore jeans every night. Anyways, again welcome to this wonderful forum where you can speak your mind and not get blasted for it!

Hello, Thanks you all........ K and R.................How can i love her more.................by taking her and her mother to Philadelphia next year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! May try to meet Rogue.....at least that is the plan....... schatje.............i agree with getting an education. Basically i post what happened. I know..i mean i really KNOW....that we here on a classy board do not flame each other. Other boards have people who get all bent out of shape about certain things....oh well........ Thanks again all.....................

Hello, We packed a carryon cooler and checked it through luggage. made it to the cabin ok. We had 2 bottles of wine, 3 flasks of Baileys, 7 big bottles of water and a 12 pack of diet pepsi. I liked the cabin door better than the Pride. Reason is it wouldn't shut all the way. You could softly close it and put stuff outside without worrying if it would close shut. The Pride doors seemd very heavy. I kept wondering all week long why people push an elevator button and when it arrives try to rush on to the elevator. Isn't it common courtesy, knowledge or whatever to let people off first ??????????????? Around our cabin area, i can't believe all the slamming of doors. What's wrong will simply closing a door behind you? A bunch of kids kept butting in front of me in the line for the slide.....didn't really bother me....just wondered about it. Sushi bar on deck 5, Promenade deck was great. My wife and i went there every night before dinner and had a few cocktails and people watched. formal nights were amazing. Any dress in the world would do for a woman. Deck 3 had an outside walkway. DO NOT USE THIS TRYING TO GET BACK TO THE PLATINUM DINING ROOM. It does not work. Go to deck 5 aft and use the elevator down. Cabbies in ST. Thomas are getting ruder!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Even the bartender dude in the last bar before the pier was a jerk........... We left our prepaid tips on our sail and sign card and even tipped more to our cabin steward and dining room waiter and busboy. Tipped others well along the way also. Did not do any shows. We were too tired. By the time we woke up by 7am and finished dinner by 10pm we were pooped. Couldn't find our last piece of luggage during debarkation. It took over an hour to find it. This was the best cruise ever for my wife and i !!!!!!!!! how much more can i love her??????????????????? That's about all for now i guess. Jason is having computer problems, so my review will be posted when he can. Thanks Jason for all your hard work !!!!

Hello, Well the time has come. This is my last night of work before the cruise. Seems like a lot of work to get prepared for a cruise. That is why a couple of days before and after a cruise seem so important to get ready and then unwind. Everything seems in place. I would sincerely like to thank everyone for their suggestions, help, comments, advice and counsel. It really makes it more enjoyable, after all knowledge is power ! I will have a great time, since my wife and i don't get a lot of time together because we work so much. If by chance i get bored, i will try and post from the ship....ololollolololllllll Take care Crazies and hold down the fort ! BYE BYE.........................

Hello, Cape Canaveral is a short distance. Jetty park is close, it's a park where you can picnic and swim. The pier is a nice area with eateries and such. Anything more, feel free to ask.

Hello, A little tradition my wife and i have is to go to Port Canaveral and see whatever ship we will be sailing on, off. Because we know when she reutrns we will be boarding. We did this Saturday as we watched the Glory take off. We ate at Rustys, which is right on the water where the ship pulls out from. I had shrimp cocktail and my wife had clam showder soup. We then shared a Grouper dinner. A great meal. I took a few pictures and it is my wallpaper on my cellphone. We rode around the terminal and checked out where to park and such at the terminal. A very nice layout. Easy and manueverable. Had a great time and it made us more excited.................

Hello fine people.................. My Carnival Glory cruise is coming up on the 22nd of this month and i thought i would take the time to posta pre cruise review...... Don't really know where to start so if it looks scrambled.....try to follow along....and please don't judge me....... I hope it's not too personal...but after i make final payment...or even sometimes when we book the cruise... my wife and i sit down and discuss our goal for how much money we want to take. I figure out how many weeks until the cruise and try to stick to a budget of saving so much per week. So i have my cruise stash.......in cash......this will include all money spent in ports and shopping. For any big items and the sail and sign we use a credit card. I just got a higher limit..a nice limit...so.....we are set.....many times along the cruise if we haven't spent too much money in ports we go and put cash on the sail and sign so at the end we have a zero balance or a small amount......then i have a pocket stash.....this is for all etc stuff...by this i mean...tips for the porters....sometimes we go out to breakfast on the way to the cruise terminal......gas money......i go to the carwash and get it all cleaned up before the cruise...my wife always argues why not at the end....i dunno..i just want a nice clean pretty vehicle on the way to the cruise.....it just makes me feel better for some odd reason..... Also in this pocket stash is money to go out the night before. We are lucky that we don't have to fly and rent cars...we are only an hour away.... A little confession here......you see i am WORSE AND I MEAN MUCH WORSE THAN A KID AT CHRISTMAS, when it comes to a cruise and any vacation for that matter. If i do not consume some adult beverages the night before...to make me sleep of course....i could go to bed at 10-11 pm and be up at 2am and not be able to fall asleep again, therefore making my arrival and first day rather tiring. I just get too excited....a cruise or trip like Christmas only comes once a year for us...so i get way too excited and with all the planning and stuff......i just get overwhelmed......because basically i do everything......find all the prices ...ask all the questions....pack...carry the luggage....just try and make it easy on my wife....so she somewhat understands. I like to get to the terminal early,,again i am too excited....the sooner i get on and get unpacked the better.....a few drinks of the day and i am set...while the ship is in port i like going to the top decks....and view the city.....i always see things i haven't seen before. One time at Port Canaveral we say Manatees swimming around the ship during embarkation. Luggage is pulled out a week before and clothes.... Anyways...thats just a few things i do........ Anyone else have anything?????????????????
