Hello, Could be hard...or easy...depending how flexible the most can be...... It would be hard for anyone with kids in school......rates seem to be higher during schools out times.....isn't it? Any ideas, suggestions or comments? 2 of the best times we have enjoyed cruising are......beginning of May or Octber. Seems like the seas are calmer then. We have always been lucky to have good weather. So i will start with May or October of 2005. With over a year to plan it we could change dates and pay a higher price. I have to save real good for this, so the further out i know the better. Personally i would pick Port Canaveral....any line...or Ft Lauderdale or Miami. I guess i could drive to New Orleans if i had to. Not Texas or California...lol.... Any length and any line would be ok.....I am sure we all would want a decent price....2K or less for a 7 nighter sound good? for 2 of course.... We could possibly let someone stay for a night or 2 either way.....if coming from out of town. We met a couple in St Thomas from another ship from Norway. They ended up staying with us for a few days and it was nice. Anyways..any ideas thoughts or comments???????? Thanks.... :cool:

Hello, I will go with Shari on this one. I have stayed at the MArriott and it is nice. Also there is a place called Irelands Inn. Away from the pier, but neat and different. Embassy Suites has been a favorite of people. :grin:

Hello, Well, a favorite seems to be The Radisson Resort at the Port. I have stayed there and it is a nice property. Recently some have said it is getting run down. I don't personally see it, but to each their own. It is close to the cruise terminal and at one time let you park there and get a shuttle to the pier. A taxi is quicker. The money you save in parking could be your hotel stay. Good luck !!! :grin:

Hello fine people, It finally has occured to me how to solve the deck chair issue so many people have found............................................. Bring one of those chairs that fold up into a bag and then you can strap that over your shoulder. Take it wherever you want. You know you use it at the beach, soccer games and picnics, so why not a cruise? Want some shade take it to a shady place. Want a chair near the pool? Right up front you go. ALSO ...take it to the show also and get right up front. Tired of standing and waiting in any debarkation, embarkation or shore tour line.....whip it out and sit down. :grin: Thanks all and have fun with the best seat in the house !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello, 2 spots on the Fantasy class ships...... Lido deck aft. There are 2 spots on each side of the ship. Perfect for your morning coffee and Baileys.... 2nd....one deck above that. The aft pool area with bar. Only one deck above the pizza also...lol... :grin:

Hello, A catamaran ride in Jamaica.....that rum punch was great..... The Yellowbird in the Bahamas. We went with some friends. We were sitting on the top deck. It was my turn to go downstairs and get a round of drinks...rum punch again...lol... As i was walking back up the stairs with my hands full of drinks, i tripped, some rum punch splashes in my eye, and with the other eye, i see a lady laughing her head off at me. I must have been a sight, but didn't spill the drinks !!!!! :P

Hello, Look on the other side of things...She probably did not plan properly in life to have a decent retirement...so she has to scam people. After all at her age, she probably doesn't care if she gets jailtime...its 3 sqaure meals a day and a roof over her head after spending the 30 g's. :(
