  3. Hello fine people, We went with a couple we have known for over 10 years. We all get along great and have fun together. We met at their house, she wasn't ready....i get rather superstitous when i gamble, especially when i haven't gambled in a while. Then they have to stop at the store. We are taking separate vehicles. Finally we get going and my wife spills a drink on her skirt. Then he calls us to ask which way we are going. I tell him one way because it doesn't really bother me one way or another to take a toll road, but we go that way. We were to meet a little before the cruise to tailgate a little. We don't find each other. Finally we get on and find a spot. This vessel is called the Splendid Princess. I do not know much history on the vessel, so i can't tell you all where it came from. An older ship, of course. It is used for gambling day cruises. When we board and go to the right, there is a bar and quite a few tables with a duo singing. Rather large area, so to me it was enjoyable. They also had some slots along the wall. Do not remember any names of the slot machines. I am a blackjack player really. The 2nd level is the main gaming area. 2 roulette and 3 craps tables. Probably about 20-25 BJ tables in this area. They had some Let it Ride tables also. BJ tables ranged from $5-$25 minimum bets. 3rd level Had a high limit area for $50 minimum bets and a 4th level for poker. Also on the 4th level they had a tiki bar and outside sitting area with another fellow singing some tunes. We sat up there for sailaway. Nice cool sunny day with calm seas. Found my wife a slot machine. Jungle something or other. I went to play some BJ. Tables were rather full. Finally found a spot. Couldn't win a hand to save my life. Get down about $50 and they change dealers....yea buddy....i win back my loss, and here comes the original dealer....yuck...i lose a few hands and decide to leave. I played some craps, as i like to throw the dice. If i can't throw i usually do not play. I had a good session rolling for about 15 minutes winning people some decent money. They thanked me, but a tip would have been nice....lol...lol.... :D :D Went back to BJ and this where it personally pisses me off. I went to a table and some guy is playing 2 spots on a $5 minimum table. He won't give up one of the spots so i, or anyone else could sit and play. Rather rude in my book, as the dealer tries to explain to me that this is acceptable as she has seen it at other places she has worked. Well i say....that may be the case but at places i have been, if someone is WAITING to play, then give up the spot. I mean geesh...it's a 5 dollar table. they guy is betting the minimum, he isn't making a killing, so what's the point? If i sit down there still will be that many cards out on the table anyways and who knows you might meet someone new and have a great time. So the guy doesn't move and i don't want to talk to a pit boss. I just eat my loses and wonder around before finding my wife glued to the TV as her beloved Eagles from Philly are playing. Thet end up winning so at least someone did!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All in all a great time with some friends, but not a winning session on gambling. Doesn't always shine on me, but was glad to share some fun. This was the Sun Cruz ship from Port Canaveral. Sailed Sunday from 11 am to 4:30 pm. Thanks... :D Oh yea...the lifeboat drill was an anoouncement like on an airplane. :D

  8. Hello, i have to correct you all....lol...The best and favorite port...is also the worst..... THE ONE YOU LEAVE FROM :D AND THE ONE YOU RETURN TO.......LOL,,,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,., Seriously though./..NAssau.. Freeport.. Grand Cayman.. Ocho Rios...St Thomas and St MAarten...We have found great things to do in all these wonderful places. Can not pick one because something special has happened in all of them. One was in Ocho Rios....We get a cab to Dunns River Falls. My wife hurts her foot along the way....we end up at the beach at the bottom....I look around and at a dock about 100-150 yards away was a tender type boat and a Catamaran. I go to the boat guy and ask for a ride back to the cruise ship dock....he doesn't give me an answer....I then go to the catamaran guy...He says he has to ask the captain....he does and we get on...they call all the others in early and we go for a great ride..People were saying they couldn't believe how far out in the ocean we went. We drank...bought a cd of the band...t shirts....drank...I personally had one of the best times ever....We tipped everyone and paid at the end. Just wonderful...and i looked the greatest for commandering a catamaran for my wife....lol.... :D :D
  9. Hello, Well it is only a day cruise...gambling cruise so to speak. I will give detailed info because i am sure everyone will like to know. It is from Port Canaveral. In case you didn't know...Port Canaveral has 2 ports or sides to it. A..One that houses the big boys...RCCL, Carnival and Disney, Hal and whoever else....then there is side B...That is where the gambling cruises leave from At one time they had a ship go out that had a gentlemans entertainment... Even though there are 2 sides so to speak, they both leave from the same channel. Just accessed from 2 different customer areas. Side B has more dining and bars. Also a boat ramp for those with their own vessels. Anyways.....we will be going Sunday Nov 30th..in case anyone else gets bored and wants to join us...Not sure if we will do Sterling or Sun Cruz...but it will be the day sailing...You really do not have to gamble on these things...just float away and dream and have a few refreshments....they also at times have some chessy entertainment....or good...... Just wanted to throw my little sailing in here.... :D
  10. Hello, I am with you Lisa...first thing in the morning....so peaceful...especially when we saw whales while pulling in to St Thomas... :D
