  1. Hey Jenn: You can quote me - "The worst I ever had was wonderful."
  2. Guess we are headed in April?? It was terrible last year when we were there aboard the Legend of the Seas and I expect it will be impossible to find a "bargain" in Spain this year. Oh, well it's only money!
  3. I agree with Joey. Don't see us going for the card and it has such limited scope. It's does not appear to be for us.
  4. Rose, Enjoy your "Girls Cruise". That mother and daughter time is very special. At least that's what Roe tells me.
  5. Welcome Aboard seeuonbord!! I moved here to CruiseCrazies a few years back after I met Shari2 on board the Infinity. Prior to that I was on a couple of the other boards. Even served as national chair for one of the Great Group Cruises from another board. I think you will find what you are looking for here. Actually you probably already have. We started cruising back in '84 with Carnival on the Mardi Gras. Got away from them after a few cruiese and have sailed on many lines. Last March we returned to Carnival aboard the Glory and a few weeks ago took 70 people aboard the Spirit. I must say we have been very impressed with the way Carnival has upgraded their cruise experience. I'm going to visit your website later today after I complete a few "Honey do's". DW had been out of town for a few days and is returning tonight, so better get to it.
  6. Congrats. Sounds fantastic. Been to a couple of the ports, but so far back it would not be a lot of help. Been wanting to get back to Northern Europe ourselves.
  7. Only sailed from PC once. About this time last year. Found it to be a very nice, easy port to said from. Distance from the Orlando airport is a bit of a pain, but we spent time precruise with Micky and that was fun. Perhaps we will have to give it another try.
  8. Fun Pass worked great for our group of 70 last month. Everyone sailed right through the boarding process.
  9. Larry, Fantastic pictures. What kind of camera were you using? I lived in the DC area for a number of years, but it still impresses me when I see pictures like yours.
  10. Azara: We will be right behind you aboard the Quest. Sailing from Miami on April 12th transatlantic to Rome. Looking forward to check Azamara out.
  11. Oh well, just a thought. Understand about he bonus. It's not a deal if you loose as much money as you save. Just checked in on line and realize I've got to renew my passport next year. Wow, that time sure slipped by quickley
  12. WoW, Jackie, that would have been great. We just kind of fell into this one. We get emails from a major cruise club all the time and they have pretty good deals. I saw this transatlantic for $1999 each including air, plus a $300 on board credit, prepaid gratuities and transfers. Then when I emailed the TA there that we have used, she emailed me back and told us if we were "Seniors" we could move up four catagories and pay on $1399 and still get all the goodies. Took us about two minutes to jump on that deal. Later, we found out about the precruise hotel being included also. Just get sick on the 12th!! It sounded like everyone else in your office was coming in when the felt like it. By the way, I looked at the website for Fuzzy Buddies, looks great. Gucci is one lucky Shih Tzu. Ours will be moving down the street to live with his two best buddies. A couple Golden Retreviers named Kasey and Anne. He really gets spoiled down there. If you start feeling ill, sent me a PM and I'll email you the complete details on this cruise.
  13. We sailed on the Legend of the Seas out of Rome last May and we did have to pay for our excursions in advance. I agree it sucks.
  14. We too have done it both ways. If I were to go back again, it would probably be aboard a cruise ship again. But, would not turn down a land vacation, either.
  15. Can harldly wait to see the pics from Rat of Cruizies nest adventure.
  16. Glad you had a good time, Joey. And that the service was back to what you expected. Never done the Monarch, but the Majasty of the Seas was our honeymoon ship 17 years ago.
  17. Good review, Maria. We encounted the new numbered tag system on the Spirit on 2/2. Our entire group of 70 had number 8, so all our luggage was togther. One bag was missing however and we spent an hour trying to find it for the owner. We finally had to give up as our bus was waiting. When we got to LV the missing bag was on the bus!! Someone else in the group must have grabbed it and lugged it to the bus.
  18. Hi Shari, Great to hear from you. We just signed up for one of those lots of sea days cruises like the one we took together to Hawaii on the Infinity. This time we are doing a transatlantic on Azamara's Quest.
  19. Sue, Very intereting review for us. We were less that thrilled last spring sailing on the Legend of the Seas. Then were very impressed with our Salings on Carnival Glory and Spirit. Never expected that. Anyway, thanks for your review.
  20. Yep, we will be sharing the same ocean. Our first stop is in the Azores, no Bermuda. Then we hit three stops in Spain and one in Corsica and then on to Rome. We sailed from Rome exactly a year ago aboard the Legend of the Seas, and sure never expected to be back so soon. Just heard today that Azamara is flying us into Miami on the 11th and putting us up at the Wyndam Miami Airport and it's included in the cruise, no additional charge. Almost fell off my chair when I got that news. Checked online and this hotel starts at $225 per night.
  21. MaryLou, How is Crazie's schedule looking for April 12?? Is she ready to go transatlantic to spain, corsica and italy??
  22. Well got our confirmation number, our insurance is in place, and have made final payment, so I guess we can call it "Official". We have switched our next cruise booking from the Oceania Insignia to the Azamara Quest. Sailing transatlantic from Miami on April 12th for 14 days to Rome. I guess I don't have to put the suitcases in storage after all.
  23. NO, we have never upgraded or been upgraded at the dock. Tried once, but were presented the full fare price to upgrade and said "Thanks but no thanks."
