  1. Thought you might want to see the logo I had designed for our magnetic door signs. The signs will also include the names of the cabin occupants.
  2. John: Great review. Our only river cruise was also on Uniworld. Amsterdam to Vienna. Loved it!!!
  3. Kevin: We embark the Ruby on October 8th; however, we will be in Venice about three days early for our 4th visit to this beautiful city. We sail out of Venice on the 9th, early afternoon. MaryLou: We will try and keep her in good order on her trip to her "home port" of Ft. Lauderdale. Have a group of about 16 folks who are sailing with us coming to our house on Sept. 11th for a pre-cruise party. Keith and Rita: Are you still doing the New Year's cruises??
  4. That will provide lots of chances for Transatlantic Cruises.
  5. The Holiday was our second cruise ship and we thought she was the most beautiful ship afloat.
  6. Won't be long till we board the Ruby in beautiful Venice.
  7. Any Crazies joining us on this sailing from Venice??
  8. Just printed our docs and luggage tags from the Princess website. Not quite as exciting as getting them in the mail, but what the heck docs are docs!!
  9. I've used Cruise Compete several times. Or, at least had them bid. Booked through them about 50% of the time. No problems. With all the cruises we have taken, it is all about the best deal and not about a "full service" TA. Have to admit I've never tried Costco, will have to check them out next time
  10. PatJud, It is always handy to have some Euros with you for odds and ends, Who know you may want to buy an ice cream cone or glass of vino ashore or some smaller things really not expensive enough to put on a credit card. Euros are dropping. Yesterday the were $1.20 against the U.S. dollar.
  11. We got the call today also. Still not planning to go back with them, but at least the are trying.
  12. What is you preferred dinner time while on a cruise? Early, Late or Anytime??? For us it is Early or First Seating dinner.
  13. We have a lot of highly experienced cruisers on this board, So..... What is your ideal time to arrive at your ship for boarding?? For us, at U.S. ports we try to arrive at 1:30 PM if we have control over the arrival. Flight arrival times or hotel checkout times can effect that time.
  14. I'm with Debbie and Jerry. Although I voted, I too would rather wait until Princess and Carnival open up.
  15. OK, given those choices, I guess I'll choose Door #2, The Explorer.
  16. Thank You for the review. I too have a shellfish allergy and you can bet I ask or simply pass on the dish if I have even the smallest doubt. After 55 cruises, I can say I've never had an attack aboard a ship because I just don't take chances.
  17. We agree with all the other Crazies. Great ship, think you will have a great time. Took about 60 people on her a couple of years ago and all were very pleased with the ship, food, service, etc., etc.
  18. Go with the Miracle. Not even a close call. I think you will have a blast.
  19. I understand MaryLou and will standby awaiting other possible choices. Keep up the good work!!
  20. I'll have to pass on NCL. They have been on my "never again" list for some time. Prices do sound good, but their cabins and food turn me off. But, then cruise opinions are like belly buttons, we all have one. I'm going to putting together a cruise for Roe's High School class out of the NY/NJ area. Right now Celebrity to Bermuda looks like a winner, but that could change.
  21. My vote would be for the Mexican cruise. Weather is always warm and I think you will get more use from the balcony. We have been on the Spirit and there are plenty of spots for viewing. I'm trying to talk my wife into a Splendor cruise this Spring, so far no luck. Our recent cruises on Carnival have been great and I'd like to see the Splendor. Been on the Mexican run about 15 times, but always have a good time. By the way, Welcome Aboard!
  22. Have a group of 34 friends booked on this Transatlantic cruise and thought I should post it and see if any Cruise Crazies are booked or thinking about this sailing. Great prices out there for this one.
