  1. Hi Jeff, We will join you in your dance. Our Docs were waiting for us when we returned from the weekend in San Diego on Tuesday. We sail on April 19th aboard the Sun Princess out of Lauderdale.
  2. I would have to vote for a tour of Santorini, Greece
  3. Yep, used one all through Europe and it worked great. Kept cash and our passports in it. However, if I had to do it again, I think I would go for one that goes around my neck and hangs under my shirt. Easier to get to that one around your waist. When cruising, I usually do not use it. Just take the minimum amount of cash ashore and leave valuables in the room safe.
  4. We did the Fjords a few years ago as part of a Northern Europe cruise. Very beautiful; however, I must admit standing on deck in July in a ski coat is not my ideal cruise experience. I am a warm weather cruiser I guess. Which probably explains why in 40 cruises I have never done Alaska. Of course being stationed on Adak in the Aleution Islands for a year also has a little to do with it. You will get some great pictures on this trip. Be sure and take a UV filter and a haze filter for your camera, will make for even better shots. We are looking forward to returning to Northern Europe to visit St. Petersburg in the next couple of years.
  5. Hi Jeff, Can't believe it, but we have been on every one of those ships!! Did you do the Sabitini's thing while aboard the Grand?? Fantastic! We enjoyed it enough to do it again on the Golden. Have sailed on the Century three times. Our most recent we had a Sky Suite and took our twin grandsons from Kansas. They had never seen an ocean let alone a cruise ship! We had a great time just watching them discover cruising.
  6. Lonestar, Sunday will a great day to begin a cruise! Of course any day is a great day to begin a cruise! Warm breezes and calm seas,
  7. OK, my friend, I'll see what I can come up with.
  8. Welcom Snuba, Be careful about cruising it is addictive! I remember when we booked our very first cruise in 1983 like it was yesterday! 40 cruises later we still get excited about each and every cruise we take. One hint, start a cruise diary and record all the little tidbits each day. I did and to this day can give you all the details of every day for all our cruises. It is particulary fun when you repeat a ship and you can go back and review your notes from your previous trip on that ship. You will love Celebrity, I know we do. We will be joing Shari2 another cruisecrazie aboard the Infinity in December to Hawaii. We have never met except here on line, but we already know we have at least two things in common -- cruising and computers. Welcome aboard!

  10. I for one am going to miss her as a non-smoking ship. Only sailed aboard her once, but that was right after spending a week on the NCL Sky. We just went down the dock and boarded the Paradise. We could tell the difference we got aboard. It was wonderful, but I'm sure this is a marketing decision on their part to generate more $$.

  12. OK Gang, Let's see if there is any interest in a West Coast Cruisecrazies cruises in the early fall of 2005. Probably the Princess Diamond or Sapphire (there newest ships)!! Dan and I are in. If we can get about five couples or so we can have a mini-group cruise from the Left Coast. The Skipper in Las Vegas

  14. Dan, That sounds good to me! Would love a West Coast cruise next fall (2005). We have three cruises already booked for this year, so we are kinda maxed out. Don't know if we could get enough folks willing to depart from the West Coast. Never been able to do that with another board I follow. Always Flordia departures (6 of them so far). The Skipper in Las Vegas

  16. Sounds like a fine cruise K&R! I'm sure you will enjoy it. I know you have a affinity for HAL, so this should work out great for you. Will be watching our countdown clock which will move faster that you think. As they say "life is like a roll of toilet paper, the further in you get the faster it goes!! The Skipper

  18. What is going on with the Cruisecrazies cruise idea?? Have not seen anything about it lately. Perhaps I am looking in the wrong place. The Skipper in Las Vegas

  20. I forgot to mention the Specialty Coffees aboard Celebrity Cruises! Have one every evening after dinner. The Bar Waiters catch-on quickly and are right there at the table followig desert! They are also served in the Cova Cafe aboard most Celebrity ships and make for a nice afternoon pick-me-up. OK, I'm ready for a cruise! 35 days and counting to the Sun Princess out of FTL. The Skipper in Las Vegas
