About Me
Hi there. Welcome to my page. I am a Registered Nurse for over thirty years. I met my wife, Cindy, in Nursing School, and we were married in 1979. We have two sons, Brian (born in 1981), and Eric (born in 1984). Brian is a cruiser, but Eric never got the bug. We live in the Philadelphia area, where we have lived all of our lives. Both Cindy and I first cruised in 1975 for a senior class trip from Nursing School. We sailed on the Leonardo Da Vinci (Italian Line), and loved it. We didn't cruise again until 1999 when we sailed on the Nordic Empress to Bermuda. It was a great cruise even though we were hit by a hurricane on the first day at sea. We became addicted to cruising from this trip, and have pretty much cruised every year since. We love meeting new people and seeing new ports. My greatest love of cruising is the sea days where I can totally relax. On cruises we almost always try to see the shows, and also love the Piano Bar. We also love touring new destinations. Besides cruising, I love to watch most types of sports. I am a fan of all the major Philadelphia sports teams, and even some of the less popular. I read as much as I can. I enjoy reading mysteries most. I am also an Amateur Radio operator (Ham Radio). My call is WA3HR. I have done this since 1992. I also love to play golf. I'm not very good, and don't get out to play as much as I like, but I'm improving. Cindy reads much more than me. Her reading interests are so eclectic that I never know what she's reading at any given time. She also loves playing Mah Jongg. As unusual as it sounds, she also loves shopping. A few months ago, we also started to take ballroom dancing lessons, but Cindy seems to enjoy this more than I do.
I recently became a travel agent with Cruise Planners. I am enjoying this new endevour very much.
