I think that it's a "damned if you do or damned if you don't situation. No matter what they cut back on, there will be people who will not like it. But, then again, if they don't make cuts and go out of business, we won't like that either. In this business environment, there are only lose-lose situations. Personally, if I have to give up my chocolates, or my free drink, then so-be-it. I love cruising, and having more choices of types of just makes cruising better for all of us. Big ships, small ships, medium ships doesn't matter. There's something out there for all of us, and that's what matters. IMHO.

We can't do this cruise. but we did a repo last year with Princess. Can't beat the price on a repo cruise!

That's exactly what I thought.

I'm not quite that trusting of powers that be. They've been known to be wrong before, and waiting just a bit doesn't seem to be too much of a hardship.

I couldn't figure it out either. I can find Gray shirts, but I couldn't figure out how to get the "Connie Goes Crazy" logo on it.

I've never sailed with NCL, but I believe that the Blue Lagoon is the buffet food court. If that's true, I suspect that it's all free.

The weather is very hard to predict in Alaska. You will see rain. After all, you're sailing through a rain forest. It may be warm enough to go in the pool, but don't be surprised if it isn't. I hope that you have great weather.

There is only one way to pack for Alaska. Layers. The weather is very finicky. One day it may be in the low 50's and rainy, and the next it can be in the upper seventies and sunny. One thing you can count on is that when you're around the glaciers, it will be cold (was in the 40's in early July when we were there). Fleece is always a nice thing to have.
