When you have to pay for a good steak in the main dining room, I think they went a bit too far.

I can't say it's more, but it certainly isn't less. I guess it depends on the port of call. We've spent lots of money in some, amd hardly any in others. On board, we've bought some art and some expensive souveniers, but other than that, its about the same.

wow.... that's great information Howard!! and thats why i started using onboard services..Plus i hate to lug luggage Joey, who do you use for that service? After looking at all of the charges, it might not be so expensive to have this service. you mean on board?? you just put it in the paper sack in your stateroom fill out the form leave the bag and the form on your bed and you room steward will take care of it.. my big tip is plan your wardobe 3 days out and there are no EXTRA charges... I thought you were shipping your bags. That may be almost the same as bringing them with you.

There is only one major us airline that still allows 2 bags free (SWA). Only 3 others allow the first bag free, but charge for the second bag (Alaska, Jet Blue, USA3000) All of the others charge $15 for the 1st and $25 for the 2nd. Reading their overweight policies is like one person wrote it for all of the companies. Unless you can fly SWA, you'll have to pay trough the nose. I wouldn't expect that this will change in the near future (or even in our lifetime). It will definitely be heaper to have the ship launder my clothes on our next cruise.

Absolutely. I have to say that the only place that I wasn't impressed with the beauty of the Island was Freeport in the Bahamas. Maybe it was because the port is not much more than a working port. to get anywhere, it was a relatively long bus ride.

Last November, we were in St. Thomas and Antigua. We love both of those, but neither will be much of a surprise.
