    They own Star Cruises, NCL, NCL America, and Orient Lines. Star Cruises are all of those ships with SuperStar in their names.

    NCL is not a stand alone. It was bought up about 10 years ago by Star Cruises. This is the third largest cruise line in the world

    I agree with Rose. Consolidation doesn't seem to be the answer. Less cruiselines will probably be the result of the current economic environment. Prices will drop more and more as people can't afford to cruise. This will bankrupt the weaker lines. The stronger lines will not necessarily be in any positon to buy them up, so the weak ones will just evaporate. That's just my opinion.

    I'm really looking forward to it. We were supposed to go there a couple of years ago, but a hurricane diverted us. This trip only has two islands that we've been to previously (St. Thomas & St. Kitts), so there will be lots of new sights for us. From what I've seen in photos, this St. Maarten will be a totally new experience.

    We haven't been to St. Maarten since 1976. I'll be willing to bet there are a few changes since then. Back then, we had to tender in and the island was incredibly poor. I'm looking forward to going back.
