We take a steamer, and it does work to get out most wrinkles, but it does take time and sometimes lots of energy. We never brought an iron.

To be honest, when we cruised on the Crown, we didn't find anything at all very difficult about getting around on the ship. There are quite a few "secrets" about different cruise ships, but I haven't seen any, as yet, about the Crown and we didn't find any. In the Piazza, there are frequent "street performers" doing their act. When we were on the ship, there was a group that sang a capella, a balencing and juggling act, and a stilt walking act. This is scheduled, but frequently we just came upon it unexpectedly.

Hi Crissy, We also cruised last July on the Crown. we did the same itinerary as you. This itinerary has a great balance between sea days and ports. She's a beautiful ship with lots to do. We liked this ship so much, that we have booked another cruise on her next May. Make sure that you get some of the chocolate chip cookies down in the International Cafe. If you have any questions, there are several of us on this board who have already sailed on the Crown, so be sure to ask.

We missed Grand Turks because we didn't leave New York until 1AM due to a problem with not enough fuel being delivered. We're back on the Crown next year for the repositioning cruise from San Juan to New York.
