    There really isn't very much to Costa Maya. There is some shopping just off the ship, but outside of that, there is nothing to see. This is really a "make believe" cruise port that is yet to be really built up yet. They are building up around the area, but that's still some time away. We took a tour of one of the Mayan ruins, which we enjoyed very much. Just be aware, that the area is very hot. Howard

    I do have our TA check periodically. Unfortunately, we have never had a price drop on any of our cruises. We have, however, had a drop in airfare which our TA found for us. :grin: Howard

    If you're not used to a balcony, just beware. Once you have a balcony stateroom, there's no turning back. :wink: Howard

    Just remember one thing for Alaska: layers. Bring a few sweaters or sweatshirts and you should be fine. Also, rainwear is a must. We were there last year, and there is not many places in the world as glorious as Alaska. Enjoy.:grin: Howard
