  6. I think, for us, it was whale watching in Juneau. That day couldn't have been better. Los of whales and bubble feeding A real treat. Of course, there was the excursion where I learned why the chicken really crosses the road, but that's another story!

  11. This article was written in 2009, but I still see articles just like this written today. I'm just wondering, with the incredibly easy resouses we have today, why there are still people not doing their homework before spending their hard earned money.
  12. Thanks for the great review, DeanSenecal. Sorry that you didn't enjoy it as much as you could have.

  18. I hope the $3000 was at least for 2 people in a suite. I don't get it either.....Especially to judge "cruising" on just one cruise... Debbie, you're right that judging cruising by one cruise is very inadequate, but if they hated it that much, they would not ever go on a second cruise. I just wonder why the author interviews someone who cruised over 15 years ago. Comparing 1995 cruising to 2011 is apples to oranges. Choosing a contemporary cruiser would be much more appropriate. Does anyone think that in 15 years there has been no changes in cruising that might have made it better? I get the feeling that the author never did interview this person. Probably got the quotes from some old article that nobody would remember. That an editor allow this to be printed just shows the state of journalism today.

  21. We did Alaska in May a few years ago. It was colder than in July (we did July 1st). Also, lots more snow on the mountains. It was also very rainy, but that could just have been the year we picked to cruise there. Less wildlife to see. Almost no eagles. Just as many whales. No bears or moose seen on that trip. You may not be able to get too close to a glacier due to ice in the water. Some cruises will not see glaciers at all. All that said, it was still a great cruise. The prices are certainly better and that's always a plus. I would still do it again in a minute.
  22. Welcome to CruiseCrazies, DawnRitter. If you post 20 posts in the 1st month, you get the rest of the year free. What's that? Oh, it's always free? Well, post anyway. You'll love it here.
  23. Bon Voyage, Cheryl & Greg. Enjoy your Cruise.
