  1. What a horrible first experience! I do hope your cruise makes up forit. Maybe you'll win the loot back at the casino! I would say that this was an unavoidable act of God so to speak. What if you had booked with CCI directly and for some reason, say a fire they ost your records? If could have happened with them as well. My suggestion is to get the best price you can which often is not from direct booking wit the cruise line. Bon Voyage. When you are on board this will be a distant memory. Cheers, Larry
  2. Maybe so. Its just that its built up in my mind as so cool and the pics I have seen are terrific but of course pics advertising travel have to look great. The cruise is a RCI out of Venice on the Spledour of the Seas which we have actually taken before, to the Western Med out of Barcelona. I do like the idea of staying a few day sin Venice post cruise as well. We'll see and thanks for the reply. What cruise are you taking?
  3. Hi guys and gals: We have looked at a Greek islands cruise for next yr. which does not hit Santorini. I have the impression that Santorini is a can't miss island. Any opinions on this? Thanks, Larry
  4. We were on that ship last month. There is a running track at one end and I think 10 laps equals 1 mile. This track doesn't go from stem to stern but you can walk that route if you wish. Also you may want to check out the gym Its quite good. :cheesy:
  5. Very nice! :cheesy: BTW I'm a Larry and my wife is a Sue too. Nov. will be 27 yrs. for us.
  6. I'll have to look into the itinerary more. I assume you mean some stops are 24 hrs. or longer so you mean its a hotel in that respect I assume. I would luv to see FP (have been to Fiji) but the cost of food and hotels there is really $$$$. This seems like a good way to see it.
  7. Thank you. It seems as if it would be a smooth ride as long as the seas don't become stormy somy question has been answered. As I have read repeatedly anout the hi $$$$$ of staying in Tahiti then seeing via a cruise seems the best choice to me. Cheers and bon voyage, Larry
  8. Hi guys. We recently cruised Alaska on the Sapphire Princess and had a ball. Next yr. we are considering the Tahitian Princess for a cruise of FP. As this is a much smaller boat my wife is concerned about how it rides compared o the bigger ships. Will it be rougher, rockier, etc? Thank you, Larry  :cheesy:
  9. Wow guys! Great replies. Thank you. You have given me some ideas to ponder. The post by John inre to those iteniraries sounds most interesting and really it seems you can't go wrong either way. we'll look into it and thanks for the ideas.
  10. Hi guys: Well my better half wants to do a Sacandanavian crusise next yr. What lines do you recommend and when is the best time to go? Summer?
  11. Thanks everyone. I was pretty sure about the layerd look but no too sure about rainwear. Now I am.
  12. Thanks Amigo. We leave 4 weeks from today actually. :cheesy:
  13. Hi guys. Well I am on my vacation count down. In exactly 1 month we will be on the Sapphire Princess departing from Seattle to Ketchican, Juneau, Skagway and Victoria. What clothing should be bring and do we need rain wear? Thanks, Larry
  14. Thanks folks. Sorry it took so long to reply. Pretty busy these days. PEB i"ll look forward to your reply.
  15. Hi guys. We will be on this ship in lafe August with stops at Jeneau, Ketchikan, Skagway and Victoria. We usually wing it for excursions but I am not sure about Alaska. Will there be plenty of cabbies and private tour operators waiting on the dock like we are used to or would it be better to prebook excursions with the ship? Thanks, Larry
