    Actually it used to be and maybe still is that most Princess ships have a wedding chapel and there was a live camera feed for this as well as a bridge cam. It was on there website.

    So my TA told me that this is "pilot" program for the Getaway and Breakaway only. There will be no charge for the continental breakfast but everything else will incur a $7.95 fee. Not for me.

    I just read that Il. CEO, er Gov. Rauner lashed out at the state supreme court calling them corrupted and manipulated by big money and lawyers who represent that that money.     it is very sad. Once a a cruise, the Tahitian Princess, a three generation family was on board but sadly the grandmother passed one night. Most of them got off at the next port but the dad and his son stayed on. i still remember how lost and in shock the old man looked.

    Do other mass market lines charge for a full breakfast room service delivery? I know they have menus you can leave for the cabin attendant for breakfast the next day but honestly I never looked at them to see what is included. I once had noro on the Connie and did order RS breakfast, toast and hard boiled eggs and there was no charge.

    Saw a feature on the local ABC news station about an big increase in the skunk population in the burbs. Tell me about it. Buggers got under our deck. The pest control company we used which was actually featured on the news show trapped 10, yes 10 of them! $65.00 each.

    I just saw that NCL is charging $7.95 for room service. Wow! This is the first I have heard of any cruise line charging for room service and its a lot I think. Will other cruise lines follow? I hope not!

    We were on one of her sister ships, the Adventure and I agree its a very cool ship. While I do know that cruises bring in a lot of $$ to the local economy I always remember what a local told me. He said they like it more when the cruise season is over so things are nice and quiet again. I suppose if you choose to live in Alaska perhaps by nature you like it that way.

    Kids would I think like Alaska for the wild life and the outdoors. Its cool to see eagles, whales and bears.

    Actually the Panama Canal cruise we did was very educational as there was a guest lecturer on board who told us about the history of this marvel. Generally European cruises can have tons of history as they are port intensive. Crucial to this is I think having a competent guide. The best experiences we had were in Israel as we had 4 full days and each with a private guide. Israeli private guides are well regarded. It's like having a private history professor with you.

    Went to the new Trader Joes by Woodfiled and got the scallion cakes. Heated them to crispy in the oven. Man very good. Gotta get more!

    So recently I had to pay $746.00 for a new thermostat for our MB 350 with only 74k miles. I received a survey and asked for someone to call me. Got a call today with the usual blah blah out of warranty stuff but got another call from someone up the ladder who agreed to give me a $200.00 service credit. I told them I had a Corolla that never had this problem, really lots of other cars driven longer w/o such a problem. Last summer a problem with our Acuras AC occurred. While I was waiting for...

    Hello there: We are planning to go to SIN next Feb. If I can I would like to book two tickets on a partner carrier, ANA for biz class. However my question is what happens to us if say our flight is cancelled due to say weather problems. Can we get out on the next flight in biz but only if there are biz saver award tickets left? That may be a problem. Also what if I buy a biz ticket and get another biz ticket using standard award from my miles and the flight is cancelled say to bad weather. Are they obliged to send us to SIN on biz seats and are they supposed to look for partner carriers as well. I wonder if it would be better to book savers on UA itself instead of a partner carrier. Any ideas please? Thank you. Larry.

    I would go to Cuba as well. Its sort of like going to the forbidden city so its intriguing. I have spoken to people who have gone there and they do say the infrastructure however is substandard so I cant imagine what it would be like if all of a sudden they get a huge influx of cruise passengers. It would take time and $$ to fix. Maybe it would be better after the first boat load.
